About this property

Four double beds down-town main street.

Core of this house goes back to 1898 although updated in the forties and has recent new bathrooms. Two of the rooms are attic rooms while the third faces the garden and the fourth the street. Guests report their best sleep - especially in the attic although we "blame" it on the comfy beds and the wood core spirit in this house. Kitchen is full equipped but simple and basic. Big dining table in the Livingroom and not to cluttered with furniture.

Location is perfect for exploring the city, but parking is a little tricky if you have a car. Apartment provided lots of space to spread out, allowing everyone to enjoy their own rooms. Would recommend for a family wanting easy access to downtown Reykjavik.

If you want to be right in the city centre, then this is the place for you. Cute little apartment in Reykjavik. It can be at bit noisy in the evening but if you have been hiking all day, which my family and I did every day we were there, you won’t notice it at all because you just fall into the comfortable beds and go right to sleep. Communication with the host, Asgeir was great. We would stay here again!!!

Host was excellent! Answered all questions I had prior to and during my stay. This location was in the heart of everything, which we loved! You wouldn't even know it either, as the noise level was very low. We were 7 adults and it fit us quite comfortably. Place was clean and the temperature of the unit was just right our entire stay. I'd definitely book it again if I were to travel back to Iceland.

Perfect Pre-Cruise Stay!

We stayed here for three nights before our cruise and it had all we needed plus being in a great location. Plenty of space for the seven of us and if we ever had questions, Oskar was easy to communicate with. A fantastic choice for families!

There were several in our group that were in Iceland for the first time. Our group really liked the quaintness of the property as well as its location being right in downtown area. Property instructions were laid out well and easy to follow. Thanks for a great stay in Iceland.

Absolutely perfect location, in the Heart of downtown. Host was very responsive and very accommodating. Rooms and beds were very comfy, and kitchen had everything we needed. Laundry room is a bit hard to find, but it’s there. 100% would/will stay again.

Great location

This was a great house for a group of 6 or 8. The location is fabulous. As others have mentioned, the stairs are a bit of a detriment. It is nothing fancy, but everyone slept well and we enjoyed being together. The host responded very quickly to any questions.

Very well located in the very downtown, and we have enjoyed very much our stay there. The great inconvenience are the stairs; they are very uncomfortable for the ones who slept upstairs, even more if both toilets are in the downstairs.

Great location, near many restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Our teenagers enjoyed the extra space of the attic rooms. We could walk to the nearby swimming facility and a grocery store was across the street.

It was an amazing location, quick walk to all of downtown Reykjavik's attractions. Grocery and pharmacy across the street. It easily accommodated eight adults. The host was responsive and flexible. Thanks for a great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and is in a perfect location to enjoy the city & to explore elsewhere on day trips. Iceland is beautiful! We agree with other renters, the beds are very comfortable! Finding places to eat and shop was very easy & walkable. Keep in mind you’re in the middle of the city so nights may be louder than your used to. The owner was easy to communicate with. Favorite bakery is Braud & Co!! Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Excellent house in the heart of the city

The house couldn't be located in a better place. It's big, comfortable and was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. There might be a little noise from the street but that's downtown living. We love tjis house and woukd love to be back!

Heart of Reykavik

The location could not be better. It was great for our children ( 6-8). The host was excellent and responded promptly. The kitchen and large table were perfect for our group of seven. ( For awareness the washer/dryer are out of the vrbo in the shared basement.)

Even better than expected

The place was spotless, and well stocked with cooking supplies. Spacious, comfortable, and ideally located in the tourist area and very close to downtown. Less than a 20-minute walk to the bus station for the airport bus. The host was very helpful, and communication was great.

Father of two millennials. Born native Icelander I got my further education in NY and California, Lived in London 6 years and in Gothenburg Sweden another 6 years.
I now live on the premise - in a separate house in the garden that I currently renovate by my self. I am one of five brothers, our father was a plumber and I am now retired form working mostly in the theater arts. Along with my brothers we rent out a 4 bedroom house at Lake Mývatn as well. My most loved hobby is dancing Salsa and other Latino social dances.

Reykjavik center has always attracted me. I like to live either in the center or in the countryside.
