Our family really enjoyed our time here. The host was so great at answering questions and sharing ideas with us for hiking. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Couldnt recommend this house more!! Definitely will be staying again in the future!
We had an amazing stay at Firestone’s! The home was exactly as described and pictured. Clean, comfortable bed, great outdoor space that we wished we had time to enjoy. Holly was a gracious host and very responsive. The location is perfect for visiting Mammoth Cave. We would definitely stay again.
Beds and bathroom were clean. Some of the other flooring may have been missed the last time it was cleaned. Overall a nice place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful area. The listing matches exactly what you get. Great host. I would stay there again.

Property was neatly kept and great communication with Holly!!
Everything was great, enjoyed the comfort of the rooms, ease of the home, and of course the views of the rolling hills. Had a really nice time playing in yard with the kids. Holly was great, and was very responsive and welcoming.
Would recommend this property without reservation. Host was easy to communicate with, home was very clean, and location was peaceful and not too far from Mammoth Cave.
This place was great. Relaxed environment out in the country. The host was amazing and had the house all ready for our arrival. Cannot wait to go back.
This house was exactly what we were looking for. Exactly as listed and wonderful location to get away. Great trip from booking to exit. Thanks so much.
This was my third stay at this little peaceful getaway in the country. It’s always very clean and well maintained, the area is very quiet & the internet is blazing fast. Perfect stay and great communication throughout!
Amazing little farm house that was very clean. Communication with the owners was very clear and concise. Definitely will be staying again when we vacation to this area again!
Holly is an incredible host! We especially loved how well stocked the kitchen was for baking and cooking our meals. This is the first vrbo we’ve been to that had a crock pot. It was so nice to throw our dinner in the crock pot, go explore for the day, and come back to a dinner all ready for us.
We had a wonderful time at Holly’s place. It was quiet and sat on beautiful property. It’s just about a 30 min drive to Mammoth Cave which was convenient. Our family loved the fire pit!
We had a lovely weekend, and Holly was extremely helpful. We wanted to see Mammoth Cave National Park, and Holly’s home was perfect for our trip, and she went out of her way to help us plan our park trip as well!
It fit our trip plans well. Bush in driveway needs trimming but other than that very nice

About the host
Hosted by Holly
Aaron and I (Holly) have been married for 12 years. We met in grade 7 and by grade 9 he told me on a daily basis I'd be his wife someday. I found him atrocious, but persistent and he soon wore me down. We were married in 2009. The next year we also chose to purchase and remodel the home that Aaron's grandparents lived in. A home built in the 1940's that needed a complete gutting. 3 years of blood, sweat and tears went into building our forever home on a 50 acre farm near Firestone's. After dating for 6 years, and being married for 4, God blessed us with our first baby boy. Then 3 years later another one! Now our days are filled with our day jobs, farming, carting boys to school and sports, and NOW hosting you! To host guests in our vacation rental has always been a dream. We love our community and think it has so much to offer. We've always loved when family from out of town visit and we get to show them around. Now we get to share it with the world. If you enjoyed anything about your stay, please don't hesitate to drop us a line and let us know! Kind words are the fuel to our fire. We consider ourselves so blessed to have you.
Why they chose this property
One of the most frequent questions we're asked is "Why Firestone's?"
Our quaint house was first owned by Kenneth and Wynona Young. Both grew up in our little community of Rocky Hill and built the house in the 1970's after they were married. They raised their daughter, Reba, in the home and were always known to their neighbors to be loving and helpful.
While Aaron grew up in the neighborhood, we only made it our forever home around 8 years ago. As we passed everyday to go into town, or to work, you could always count on Mr. Kenneth sitting on the back porch giving you a wave. Mr. Young, before retirement, worked at a local factory that made Firestone tires and coincidentally developed the nickname "Firestone" for all who knew him.
"Wave at Firestone!", we'd always tell our boys.
And when we'd say "Let's go visit Firestone", our kids would always be excited because they knew Mrs. Wynona would always find them a piece of candy in the pantry.
When we purchased the house in 2021 in order to host people from all over the world. One thing we didn't have to think about for long was the name. For over 50 years our house has been called "Firestone's" and we couldn't be more honored that it will continue to be.
What makes this property unique
Surrounded by expansive farmland, our charming house embodies a serene oasis where the distant lowing of cows and the sound of Amish families on horse-drawn carriages along the nearby road create a soothing countryside soundtrack. In this tranquil setting, peace and comfort abound, inviting moments of quiet contemplation and relaxation. Embrace the simplicity and beauty of rural life, where nature's gentle cadence sets the tone and the beautiful landscape offers solace for the soul.
