This charming home is located just one block from the pristine beach as well as Carlsbad Village with its boutique shops and fabulous restaurants. The main house has two bedrooms, while the third bedroom is in a detached cottage. The living area boasts a large dining table and a warming gas fireplace. This home also features a dine-in chef's kitchen with plenty of counter space. Outside, there is a front yard seating area with a firepit as well as an enclosed, canopy-covered, rear patio area with a table to dine alfresco. Other amenities include a washer/dryer, four new TVs, a DVD Player, and complimentary high-speed internet access. All premium movie channels and streaming services are included in every bedroom.

Cute beach house in a perfect location

Location location location. This house is perfectly located with access to the beach next to Tower 38 being only 2 blocks away, it is also a short stroll to a lot of restaurants, shopping and other activities. You could easily spend a week here and never take the car out of the driveway. We chose to visit Carlsbad primarily to go to Legoland, but wanted to spend the rest of our time unscheduled and mostly on the beach. The beach chairs and umbrella were great to have access to, my 7 year old daughter made friends over the beach toys. The space was very inviting, and was a comfortable place to unwind. The outdoor space was fantastic. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and silverware and overall was great. The washer and dryer were top notch and great to have. The main bed was uncomfortable for our liking, but was adequate for the 4 nights we stayed. The front door deadbolt was a bit finicky, we found it easier to just bring the keys and use the side door instead.

Temp Housing on the Beach

The home was wonderful to stay at. We needed place for our family to stay for two weeks while waiting for our truck to arrive when we moved to the area and it really “felt like home on the beach.” Great place!

Smells terrible

There’s a terrible mold like smell at this property. Contacted the Property manager multiple times. They offered to move me to a different property that was not anywhere near close to the beach like this one. I asked to get refunded the remainder of my state as I would like to have left, but they never returned my calls. I called four times and each time was told that the property owner will contact me and I was never contracted.

Ideal Carlsbad property for us

Location and layout of living quarters (for 3 adults) were ideal. Key code and WiFi code were incorrect in initial notification, but property manager was very helpful and responsive to all our concerns. Thermostat needs adjustment - unnecessary A/C for hours resulted in our discomfort and surely great cost to the owners. Property very well equipped and good for families.
