About this property

Waterfront Log Home on West Grand Lake

Relax in a beautifully crafted log home on the waterfront with all of the modern comforts of your home. Walk in to find the full kitchen ready and equipped with a stovetop oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, basic cooking utensils, basic cookware, dinnerware, silverware, bowls, cups, coffee maker, mixer, and commercial size sinks. Basic kitchen/dish soaps are provided based off length of stay, including dishwasher pods. There are hot pads, an oven mitt, dish sponge, dish cloths, and dish towels for your use over your stay as well.
You will not miss the oversized, handcrafted dining room picnic table which has plenty of room for larger parties to enjoy sit down meals together. Don't forget to bring the card games and board games! There is a sitting area opposite the kitchen that has a coffee table, couch and loveseat set, along with two end tables. You can relax and soak in the nature and water views from the two sliding doors that lead out to the deck.
On the deck enjoy the peaceful surroundings while you have your morning cup of joe in one of the Adirondack chairs looking out onto the water. A family size propane grill is ready for use on the covered, suspended deck. After your adventures for the day are through, have no worries: your bed has already been made and prepped for your arrival.
Down the hall from the kitchen you will find the 3 bedrooms. There is a master suite with a full bath consisting of shower stall, toilet, and sink. Enjoy the queen size bed and small, walk in closet. A washing machine and dryer are located in the attached mechanical room. If you would like to do some laundry during your stay, pack your detergent and dryer sheets. Two additional bedrooms complete the lower level and each have bunk beds where both the top and bottom bunks are full size mattresses. A second bathroom is located off the kitchen in the hallway. This second bathroom also has a shower stall, toilet and sink. Again, we have you covered: linens and towels for bedrooms and bathrooms are provided for your convenience. With three bedrooms, kitchen, and sitting area on the main level, let's bring the party upstairs!
In the loft, you will find the tv, extra sitting space and a third, fully equipped bathroom. The television is NOT hooked up to cable, but rather runs off of our camp's Wifi and has the hookup for YouTube tv ready to go. If you are tech savvy and wanted to bring along a DVD player or a game station for those cold or rainy days, feel free. Don't forget any neccessary plugs, cords, etc for hookup. We do not provide extension cords or any additional electrical hookups for movie players, game stations, etc.
The TV is accompanied by two full size futons which can be laid down for additional sleeping space should you need more beds to accommodate your party. The additional linens for the futons are in the loft on shelves outside of the bathroom.
The third and final bathroom in our camp has a tub/shower combo along with a sink and toilet. Check out the hand crafted railings along the edge of the loft for your safety and awesome lake views from the windows in the peaks directly across. You will not be disappointed with the comforts available to you inside. The pristine water and rocky shore of the lake is only a hop, skip, and a jump down the path.
Bring some firewood to use in the firepit and don't forget those marshmallows. The dock is a great spot to sit and soak in the sunrise and/or sunset as well. Both fishing and swimming can be fun right off the dock, so pack a pole and grab some worms in town.
If you venture into town, you will find that Grand Lake Stream is a small, quiet village with a family operated store. The Pine Tree Store offers fresh pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, fishing supplies, cold drinks, hand-scooped ice cream, and limited groceries. If you plan to head out on the trails, stop in and grab an ATV or snowmobile map. All of the trails can be accessed from our camp and down the Bonney Brook Road.
Book now to reserve your stay and enjoy the amenities and activities our camp has to offer.

Best fishing trip
Very cozy and comfortable cabin. Compliments to the builder. Minimalist decor just right. Beds very comfy. Having the washer & dryer great considering it rained the first 3 days and then got caught in more while out on the lake. Saw deer go thru the yard to the water's edge a few mornings and goose family in the evenings. Water on lake crystal clear, sunsets beautiful. Would highly recommend. Host were extremely easy to communicate with and prompt with responses to our questions.

Lakefront Shangri-La
This lakefront home is ruggedly constructed with locally-milled beams for internal framing and rafters, ceiling and walls finished in pine boards, creating a very attractive appearance. The reason for mentioning the superior construction first is because we had some windy days during our stay, and would never had known until going outside! This feature, coupled with radiant heat floors, make this house stand out among all others for a cozy winter vacation complete with snowmobiling and ice fishing. We found the house extremely clean and check in a cinch. John and Janey are friendly, helpful, very open to communication and their response time is immediate. They turned up the radiant heat, which is extremely cozy on the feet, well before you arrive! No roughing it whatsoever, regardless of the weather! The rooms themselves have only essential furniture and no personal effects, which eliminate the inconvenience of having to maneuver around the owners’ clutter as is most often the case. For a stay other than a long weekend, I would like to have had a dresser for my clothes, otherwise living out of a suitcase for a few days is no big deal. The beds were made nicely, the linens were clean, sheets and towels were stored neatly on shelves, and you have a utility room with washer and dryer at your disposal. From this scenic lakefront location, you can easily carry-in to launch your boat or canoe, or rent either one from the owners, otherwise with a sizable motor boat, you would put in at the picturesque town landing about 4 miles from the house. West Grand Lake is one of the seven cleanest lakes in the State of Maine, so you should prepare yourselves for a rare experience, swimming in crystal-clear water, or being able to see the fish you are trying to coax onto your hook! In retrospect, spearing one would have been easier, for me at least. Either way, enjoy!
