Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
WORST VRBO
First the website would not load my drivers license. Called rep and they said to keep trying website or email. First rep gave me the wrong email. Second call rep gave correct email address. Sent Driver’s license but still did not receive check- in email. Called a 3rd time since arriving early and asked about early check in. Was told that was probably a good possibility. Was hoping to check in early since looking into the windows of the cabin everything appeared to be cleaned and ready to go. We had a wedding rehearsal dinner scheduled that evening for 5:30pm at our rental. We waited to hear back for two hours and heard nothing. Called back a 4th time around 3:00pm and was told early check in wasn’t possible. 4:00pm rolls around and still NO check in code. Called for the 5th time and the gentleman that answered this time was rude when I explained I was upset about not being able to get in when it was already past my check in time of 4pm. He said it begins at 4pm and that doesn’t mean we could get in exactly at 4. We paid THOUSANDS of dollars to rent this cabin for 2 nights. We had wedding party of several heading there for dinner soon and couldn’t get in. I became upset and said we needed a code now. He then verbally gave me the code. Never sending any written information on check in or even for check out.
We get in to our cabin and the pictures were completely deceiving. There were MANY kitchen cabinet doors missing and just laying inside the cabinets. There were not adequate pots, pans, utensils for even one person! The couch was broke. There was trash on the ground all around the cabin. Not just a little trash but months worth of garbage on the ground on all sides. One of my guests had a BUG in their BED!! Not cleaned appropriately as there were spiders in the showers. The worst part was the quality of the beds. I could have probably stayed in a Super 8 Hotel and been not comfortable. Not only were they hard but the one we slept in was also sideways. You could roll right off the bed into the floor on this king size bed. Cracked tiles everywhere. Damaged and worn couches throughout. Took pictures and video of everything upon arrival.
I sell real estate and travel extensively. I have never seen such poor management and such misleading pictures. DO NOT BOOK with this company. Happy to share pictures and videos.
