About this property

Hudson Valley’s Private Waterfront Camping Getaway

Proudly Owner Operated! No management companies, no cleaning crews.....WE are it!

In order to offer our guests the best experience possible with the highest standards, we personally clean and prepare our property, we coordinate bookings and we communicate with guests. Should you need anything or have any questions, during your stay, we will take the call and personally respond to any guest needs. We are extremely proud to be able to do this.

Enjoy a safari style tent on your own private deck overlooking the water located in a private wooded property. Rinse off under the a-frame shower with lukewarm water(in season**). The porta-potty is emptied weekly and sanitized before each guest. You won’t have to dig holes but you are camping after all!!
**Please note that if you are staying with us during the colder months (November - April), there is NO RUNNING WATER! This means the shower and sink are turned off. You will need to bring in water daily as it freezes if any is left at the site!

Cook a meal on a propane grill. You are welcomed to bring aluminum trays to have more flexibility cooking on the grill! Charge your phones or laptops should you need to do a little work under the canopy of the trees! (Yes! There is an outlet for small devices!!!) Finally, relax under the stars on a queen sized bed with memory foam mattress in your screened in tent as the tree frogs lull you to sleep and the fireflies wow your senses with their magical glow!

Feel like exploring? Take a short walk through the beautiful neighborhood to see the magnificent sunsets over the farm. We are located in a great little neighborhood so you never have to go trekking too far into nature and be totally secluded. Yet, you enjoy the half acre waterfront property all to yourself! Plenty of longer trails are easily accessible just a short drive away!

If something a little bit further from nature tickles your fancy, jump in your car for a quick ride to Uptown Kingston or Saugerties where you’ll find plenty of great restaurants and shops to visit during your stay. Either way, you're sure to enjoy!

End your day with a nice fire under the stars! You have two comfy Adirondack chairs with warming pads and an enclosed fire pit for your use!! Be sure to bring enough wood as you’ll want to linger around the fire just a little while longer!!

Hey there, nature lovers! As you explore the beautiful Hudson Valley, just a quick heads-up: thanks to our ever-warming planet (thanks, global warming), ticks and poison ivy are having a bit of a moment out here. No need to worry—just stick to trails, wear closed-toe shoes, and do a quick tick check after your adventures. Mother Nature is still magical, just with a few extra sidekicks these days!

During the colder months, enjoy a small heater that will warm up the tent to a toasty temperature perfect for sleeping! However, please note that when the temperatures outside are extremely cold, the heater will not heat the tent as much. It is a canvas tent after all and heat won't stay as much. We provide you with ample layers of warm comforters and blankets! We do recommend you bring layers of warm clothing and slippers to use during your stay! Sweet dreams are sure to follow!

This site is located waterfront on the Esopus Creek. There is a freight train that comes through on the other side of the creek from time to time. If you are sensitive to noise, this may not work for you. Most guests comment that it is more like white noise if and when it does come through.

****If you’re staying with us in the months of November-April, please note that there will NOT be any running water available. As the weather drops, we must shut off the water to protect the plumbing. You will need to bring in your own water as any water that is left at the site will only freeze. We provide you with body wipes but they also tend to freeze. Water is turned back on when temps stay above 40 degrees to ensure that pipes and fixtures do not freeze.****

***Please note our Strict Cancellation Policy. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance for your reservation!! There are many companies out there that will give you different options at affordable prices! Please do your research. Unfortunately, we do NOT allow date changes due to weather. This is an outdoor experience...come sun, rain or snow. If you read through our reviews, you will find that all weather experiences are magical!

For cold Weather Campers......Staying at Hudson Cove in winter months has proven to be an absolutely magical experience for hundreds of our guests. However, it does require a little extra planning and an understanding of winter in the Hudson Valley. Between November and April, the weather can have its extremes and does not allow for running water as the pipes will freeze and crack. Unfortunately, even leaving bottled water often just ends up being blocks of ice and not useable for our guests. We simply ask guests to bring in water during their stay to ensure a safe useable water source. We also ask guests to bring proper clothes. The tent does reach comfortable temperatures, however, extreme cold snaps can make it necessary to bundle up and cuddle with your main squeeze. If you are open to a little adventure and a little planning, come and enjoy our little oasis! If you are looking for high end amenities with hot showers and instant heat on demand, this is probably not for you and we suggest trying our outdoor experiences in warmer months.

This glamping site was exactly as described! Me and my pup had a wonderful stay right on the water. The heater surprisingly kept us cozy and warm through the night and we were provided with everything we needed for a restful stay — including extra blankets, towels, basic toiletries and a small coffee maker.

Stunning Location with perfect setup

This cute spot had everything you'd possibly need! My husband and I loved waking up to an incredible view of the creek and the sounds of nature, no better way to start the day! The creek is large and we highly recommend using the kayaks provided by the hosts. Outdoor shower was very energizing before of after a long day of exploring the area. Hosts were very communicative and we will definitely return many times.

Just what we needed!

After the craziness of this past year, we need a place to recharge and be together. This was the perfect spot. The site itself was magical, especially at night with the floating lanterns. There was a crazy thunderstorm while we were there, but we were safe and dry I n the cozy bed of our tent. We enjoyed the tubes and kayaks. The creek was calm and peaceful. William and Alexandra were wonderful hosts. We used their recommendations to go hiking and dinner.

This is a tricky one to review. The place itself is great. Fantastic view over the creek and well thought out facilities. We loved sitting on the deck in the morning sun and by the fire pit at night. The bed was also super comfy and the heater in the tent worked well as nights were chilly. The problem for us was that the property description says a freight train ‘runs from time to time’ and the property may not be suitable for those sensitive to noise. This is not accurate. Each night of our 2 night stay we were woken at least 5 times between 2am and 7am (the train passed in the evening also but we were out for most of the days) . You don’t need to be sensitive to noise for this to have happened as it was just the other side of the creek and accompanied by lots of very loud hooting of the horn and as they are so long this lasted for several minutes each time. If you normally live next to a freight train line this might not bother you but it certainly did for us. We do not feel that the description reflects this and probably would not have chosen to stay if we had known this. It is a shame because the facilities are great and the location picturesque but it is definitely not the peaceful haven it is made out to be. In addition there is the constant hum of traffic from the interstate that can be heard. This isn’t so bad but again it is there so you should bear this in mind. Our other issue was that the shower never ran hotter than lukewarm no matter how long we ran it for.

Eaten Alive.

Property was cute and private, however the severe infestation of biting flies was unbearable. Our whole body was bitten up and the extreme itch and pain made the whole weekend unpleasant. I wish it was communicated to us that this was an issue. Bring bug spray by the gallon.

Riverway Getaway

The property was well maintained and the host was responsive and timely. I arrived after dark and the directions were clear and easy to follow. When I told the host I would be arriving late they turned on the heater so the tent would be warm upon my arrival. The host includes so many great items from a cooler, tables and chairs on the deck, hammock, floats for the river, umbrellas, fire starters, etc. One thing to know is that a train track is on the other side of the river and the train goes by early in the morning. It did not wake me up, but if you are a light sleeper it might be an issue. I would definitely rent this tent again!

Perfect Getaway!

We had a great time at Hudson Cove! It was the perfect marriage of a nature getaway with adorable small town exploring. We enjoyed the provided kayaks daily, had morning stretch sessions on the beautiful deck, spent a touristy afternoon in Woodstock, and got to snuggle up with our pup at the end of the night surrounded by the sounds of the great outdoors. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to take a breather from the hustle and bustle of life.
