The Blue Jay's Blue Chalet is nested in a quiet wooded area, close to wonderful hiking trails, and ski hills. The property, bordered by a stream, is an ideal place for nature lovers. Enjoy a great location in a peaceful setting.

The chalet has been fully renovated while maintaining its original charm. One queen size bed and two twin size beds (trundle bed) are available. The bedrooms are accessible via a steep and narrow staircase, undeniably charming but not for everyone. The kitchen has what is needed for cooking and enjoying meals. Linen and towels are provided.

The chalet is close to the Long Trail hiking trail and approx. 600 yards from the Smugglers' Notch ski resort. The chalet's location makes it feel secluded yet close by is Smuggler's Notch, ski hills, hiking trails and a pub, all within walking distance. In the village of Jeffersonville 5 miles from chalet, one can find restaurants, a post office, hair salon, art galleries, canoe rental. The chalet is a 2 minute drive to Smuggler's Notch ski resort, however in winter the direct road over the mountain between the chalet and Stowe is closed, the drive around to Stowe is approx. 50 minutes.

You can choose from a variety of activities in the area ranging from wine tasting, disc golf, canoeing hiking to ziplining. Don't forget to set aside time to rest, relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Second Season of Perfection!

This is my second season staying in the blue chalet and truly 5/5 stars. From accurate description, easy booking, easy check-in, to a cozy stay for me and my pup, we love this place! Maude gives you all the details, the chalet is clean and well equipped with kitchen, bath, laundry and entertainment (games, puzzles). Thank you for another wonderful season, see you next year!

Séjour agréable

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour près des pentes de ski. Le chalet est confortable et l’emplacement près de la rivière est magnifique. Nous avons apprécié la facilité de communiquer avec Maude et les belles randonnées sur les sentiers enneigées de la région.

Great Autumn Trip

We loved staying at the cozy mountain chalet. It was spotless with a well equipped kitchen. We chose to stay in one night to cook a meal and enjoy the beautiful view while dining at the cabin. We would stay here again.

Great Vermont Hideaway

We loved staying here! Feels secluded but not too far from Jeffersonville or Stowe. Loved the stream running behind the chalet. Would definitely stay here again.
