Myrtle on Mumford is a newly constructed replica of a classic 1920s single-story Chincoteague home. Thoughtfully designed, it blends modern amenities with traditional styling to offer extraordinary comfort while preserving the timeless character of the island.
The authentic architectural details, paired with antique furnishings and carefully curated décor, create a warm and nostalgic atmosphere that transports you back to a bygone era.
All sleeping accommodations are located upstairs, where you’ll find a queen bedroom and a second bedroom with two twin beds. These rooms share a full bathroom in the hallway.
Enjoy the inviting outdoor spaces—choose between the rear screened porch or the charming front porch, perfect for relaxing after a day of island adventures.
For larger groups, Myrtle on Mumford may also be rented together with the neighboring home, Miss Ida.

Quick nice stay
We went for the weekend and enjoyed our time. The house was very clean and taken care of. The screened porch was the best.
