The home was beautiful! Our stay felt very private, and the kitchen was the most furnished kitchen I’ve seen so far. All the amenities, plus more! Plenty of cookware, bowls, knives, etc. Even a crockpot! Easily a five star stay for us

Stunning and Perfect!
We came from the East coast to celebrate my son's wedding, and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay! In addition to being located on a stunning property, the inside of the house was in perfect order , fully stocked, and so clean. Echo was a wonderful hostess, making every step along the way easy and clear. I didn't want to leave, and I'm already planning a visit for next year.!
Loved what Echo has done with the house. Older houses have so much personality and Echo has really made something out of that. Highly recommended, specially when you're with your friends and family

Thanks for the kind words Amol! It has been really enjoyable to reimagine what the cabin could be and update it to fit our more modern aesthetic but still honor the cozy and eclectic feel that we love about the place! We'll look forward to hosting you and your family again in the future!
When the property description indicates you are tucked away in the forest, make no mistake that’s the case. Drive thru a lovely community, find the “private driveway” sign, follow the road into a proverbial rain forest, including deer about. Round the bend and you are home at your personal treehouse. The “cabin” is nicely appointed, clean and private. Our family of nine loved the space. Kitchen, basement spaces recently updated. Master, second bedrooms updates in the future?
Echo was an amazing host, the cabin private, quiet and worlds away (though not really 😌).
Magical stay for a family looking to get away, though not too far.
Echo, thank you..

This is a hidden gem in the middle of Beaverton, quiet and private. The cabin is very spacious, comfortable and clean. Extremely impressed with privacy in such a large residential area. I highly recommend this cabin and the hosts. The host were second to none. Don't pass this place up. Will definitely rebook

About the host
Hosted by Echo Merrell
The first time we turned down the forest road to this cabin, we felt ourselves exhale, a deep, calming breath we didn’t know we needed. That same sense of peace is what we now love sharing with our guests. In 2021, we discovered our dream cabin nestled among the Douglas firs of Cooper Mountain and began preserving this beautiful stretch of native Oregon woodland. Surrounded by towering trees, lush ferns, and visiting deer, it’s become a place of serenity and inspiration. We’re honored to share this peaceful retreat with others who seek quiet, comfort, and the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Why they chose this property
We love nature so being surrounded by such unique older growth forest really resonates with us. We are hikers, love to ski and snowboard up on Mt. Hood, love making day trips out to the ocean but also enjoy the convenience of living close to shopping, downtown events and the unique atmosphere of Portland and the PNW.
What makes this property unique
Our family affectionately calls it the “Ewok House” for its treehouse-like design: living spaces above, bedrooms below, and balconies tucked into the forest canopy. The cabin feels completely private and surrounded by nature; when we first stayed here, we realized we didn’t even need curtains. A family of deer makes regular visits, often wandering through the orchard to snack on fallen pears and apples. Over time, we’ve come to recognize them by sight and they seem just as curious about us as we are enchanted by them.
