About this property

Cabin in the Woods

Our cozy cabin is located near Lake Rockwell with lots of trees and outside space. The inside of our home has 4 skylights that welcome lots of natural sunshine. There is a sauna in the basement and a wonderful park called Towner's Woods located just a mile and a half away. We are also 10 minutes from Kent State University and downtown Kent.

We recommend having a 4x4 car for winter! If there’s a lot of snow and you don’t, you could get stuck.

***We host up to 3 guests. Only guests staying in the the cabin are allowed to come over unless we have talked about it ahead of time. Please review the rules you agree to when booking. We charge $500 for every rule broken. This includes parties, smoking inside, extra guests, etc.***

We do not provide sauna towels, please use white towels for the shower only and bring your own if you plan to use the sauna. Thank you.

We are open to hosting SMALL events and weddings (20 people or less). If this interests you, please reach out to discuss fees.

Note: bathroom is on the main floor, the bedroom is upstairs.

Note 2: The shower knob is also opposite of what it displays. Please turn it to the right (cold) for warm water.

Note 3: the upstairs oftentimes gets very warm in the summer months. We provide 1 fan for each room and there’s also a ceiling fan in each room. We recommend sleeping with the door open OR closing the door and sleeping with the windows open.

This is our home most of the year. Please respect our space like it is your own. A few rooms are locked away but anything that’s open is yours to use!

If you plan to use the sauna please see the welcome book or reach out with any questions. It takes about 45-60 minutes to heat up (it gets to about 165°).

Beautiful country log cabin

This is a gorgeous home with a terrific and well-equipped kitchen, skylights and furnishings in a beautiful wooded setting, and the owner was very helpful and responsive. It was a bit tough on my three-generation family with only two beds though; if a listing says “sleeps six,” an air mattress for two should not count as a bed, or my home theoretically could sleep 20. Other bedrooms in the house were locked and not available. Still, we’d be very happy to return to this charming home and recommend it to others.

The house is super cute, and the host was very easy to contact and communicate with. The drive was difficult to find in the dark, as there were not really any clear markers that we could find (and the GPS thought the house was on the cross street, not the actual address), so we just kind of guessed and crossed our fingers. We were correct, but a little sign or statue at the end of the drive with the house number (as we didn't even see a mailbox) would have been helpful. Otherwise, was a perfect trip and a perfect place!

Family football weekend

The Ravenna home was perfect for our stay for a family birthday / Kent State football weekend. Allison was very good to work with and very good communicator. It is a perfect location. Quiet and countrylike but only about 8 minutes to conveniences.
