This was a great little house to stay at with our family for a long weekend! We accidentally locked ourselves out the first day and the owners came to our rescue within the hour! The beds upstairs could’ve been more comfortable but other than that it was a nice place, great value and awesome location very close to Burr Oak lake! We also loved the back yard and fire pit to roast marshmallows for s’mores!

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend. The house and yard are immaculate. The neighborhood is fairly quiet. The yard had lots of different types of birds to watch, squirrels, and deer early morning and evening. The house floorplan was unique and creative. A great place to relax or take advantage of the proximity to the state park.

Great Hosts!

We went trail riding at Tecumseh, just needed a place to stay for the weekend. The hosts were super friendly and helpful through the entire stay! House was perfect for what we needed. Clean with small necessities avaliable. Nice quiet neighborhood as well! Food nearby was great. We will definitely be back to stay!

Lake retreat

The cabin was perfect. We were looking to relax at a lake for a few days and this was exactly what we did here. Our hosts were amazing you won’t meet two nicer people We will definitely be returning in the future.

Great outdoor getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. Its just perfect for Sportsmen hunt, fish, or to bring a family together in Southeast Ohio. Burr Oak is a quiet lake away from the mainstream and the State park has alot to offer outdoors next to Wayne National Forest

Well stocked cabin, clean and met all our needs. Owners met us and offered help and wood for fire pit for small fee. Enjoyed Burr Oak lake and Mammoth March Hike.

Charming cottage but long drive to Athens.

We enjoyed our stay very much! Qian and Dustin were excellent hosts and the house provided for our every need. We booked to attend our daughter’s graduation from Ohio University. Our only complaint is that it was not closer to OU, but the tranquil country setting was beautiful!

Cozy getaway

The property owner had a nice assortment of essentials that are frequently forgotten (shampoo, aluminum foil, etc…). The yard had a great fire pit to hang out and cook s’mores (also provided by owner). Beds were comfortable and space was adequate for the 6 of us. Location is great for Burr Oak activities.

I was told that this property was booked and the owners cancelled my reservation. 3 days prior to the original scheduled check in I was told that my reservation was still on place and since no cancellation on my part I would still be responsible to the full amount of the reservation

There is no charge if you cancel 30 days before you are arriving, I can’t refund 100% like you wish 3 days before the date you are coming. Sorry😌

Cute little house

The house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen and bath were well stocked with necessities. The owners were very responsive. Very nice firepit and charcoal grill. Owners will supply firewood for a very reasonable price. I wil advise that there are mounted deer heads, just in case that is offputting if you're not prepared. The stairs are steep, but the stair railing was very sturdy. Overall, a 5 rating, and I recommend.
