About this property

The Farm Cottage--close to two state parks

Rustic farm house located on a working cattle farm. Home features two porches with seasonal views of Mt. Nebo and Petit Jean Mountain, breakfast nook, kitchen, dining area, large living room with two comfortable sofas and large flat screen smart television, two bedrooms with queen size beds, one full bath, and laundry room.
Their is ample room for a boat trailer in the parking area.
Large oaks and other shade trees provide a cooler lawn space for relaxing and playing lawn games. In addition to the porches and lawn area, there is also a fire pit with seating for four.
Home is located a short distance from Petit Jean and Mt. Nebo State Parks as well as the Centerville race tracks. Nearby Lake Dardanelle is an excellent fishing and recreation lake. Petit Jean Wildlife Management Area is minutes away and features public hunting and fishing. Holla Bend Wildlife Management Area is also very close and is an excellent place to see a variety of birds including Bald Eagles.

The cottage is really nice. Very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Check-in was easy and directions were perfect. Great location for visiting the 3 state parks in the area - Petit Jean, Mt Nebo, and Mt Magazine, all of which are awesome. Really appreciated the complimentary eggs and ground beef.

Beautiful house on a knoll on a farm

Old farmhouse renovated nestled in-between cows and every day farm life. Very quiet place with birds,cows and an occasional tractor going through the farm. House is very comfortable and relaxing.

We had a great stay at the farm cottage! It was very cozy and had all the extras you sometimes don't really realize you're missing when on a trip. Great location, with easy access to Mt Petit Jean and Mt Nebo. Mt Magazine is just a little drive away. 1000% recommend!!!

This darling little farm cottage is in such a peaceful place and only a short ride to two of Arkansas’ best state parks! The house itself is beautifully decorated. The older home is beautiful and so cozy! The owners offer *plenty* of extra towels, blankets, sheets, etc and the home is full of charm! The porch is the best! The owners are precious and are super responsible and so sweet! We loved our weekend stay and hope we can return someday soon!!!💖

A Hidden Gem!

My wife and I had planned to attend the big annual antique car swap meet/show at Petit Jean State Park, but all cabins and rooms at the Lodge were filled long beforehand. I felt a tad disappointed that we had to "settle for" a nearby VRBO property. I needn't have been! The Farm Cottage is a hidden gem: comfortable, large and roomy, squeaky-clean, and serenely peaceful and quiet. We look forward to staying there again, and I highly recommend it to all.

Weekend Getaway

My Husband and I had the best stay ever at this Cozy little cottage! We did a 3 day trip and will definitely book this property again!!! The farm it resides on is super peaceful! The fresh eggs and ground meat were greatly appreciated and enjoyed! We even bought another dozen eggs and various cuts of beef to take home. The cottage had all the amenities to accommodate cooking, as well as lots of great books for reading different types of games, and a fire pit with plenty of firewood and marshmallow holders for roasting. Comfortable beds! Owner responds in a timely manner and it was great meeting her the day we purchased beef and eggs. She was extremely friendly and welcoming. We went to Petit Jean and spent a day hiking. The waterfall was strenuous but well worth the view! We did 3 trails total and the lookout points. It’s a straightforward drive from the property;we spent another day fishing and hitting up the local flea market and a brewery. If you are looking for a quiet place to recharge and enjoy nature this is the spot for you!!!!

Park hunters

This cottage was perfect! We stay at VRBOs all over the country and this was one of our best rentals ever. The location was a perfect home base for us to explore all of central AR. The farm cottage was quiet, homey and welcoming and had EVERYTHING we could want. We especially appreciated the ground beef and fresh eggs, but also plenty of plates, utensils, cooking equip., towels, everything! Divella (the host) was very timely and efficient in communicating with us as well. We wished we hadn’t packed our itinerary so fully and would have had more time to enjoy the cottage! Every detail was taken care of. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of living space, seasonal decorations, a delightful porch for morning coffee and evening relaxing. Thanks so much, Divella!!!

Didn't do much cooking but everything needed in a kitchen was available even a taste of country----eggs and beef raised at the back door! The cottage provided an ideal and delightful accommodation, boasting lovely decor and a location on a working farm. The hosts generously provided us with fresh farm eggs and the most exquisite ground beef, sourced from their black angus cows. The quality of the meat was exceptional, surpassing any we had tasted before, and we were fortunate enough to bring home an ice chest filled with steaks, roasts, and ground meat. We found the meat to be superior to even the wagyu we typically purchase from the grocery store! The host was exceptionally accommodating, and we are certainly looking forward to returning. Thank you for making our visit so memorable!

We drove up to the farm house and thought it was super cute, but walking into the house felt like a warm hug. It was decorated like an actual farm house and had everything needed to cook meals and enjoy time just relaxing after our hiking adventures. The beds were very comfy and the towels were thick and cozy. Additionally, a pound of fresh ground beef and a dozen fresh eggs were waiting in the fridge for us. What a bonus!!! If your family needs a place to kick back after a day of exploring, this is your place!!

Short Getaway Close To Home

My wife and I and our best friends and fellow couple were looking for a centrally located home to stage State Park adventures and area lake fishing trips in a country setting. I must say this place did not disappoint. We visited four State parks and obtain all four stamps in our Arkansas State Parks passport booklets. The parks we visited were Petit Jean State Park, Mount Nebo State Park, Mount Magazine State Park and Lake Dardanelle State. All are must sees. We fished both Lake Atkins and Lake Brewer near Morrilton. This cottage is located on a working cattle farm and was decorated so cute with a farmhouse theme. It was the perfect size to accommodate two couples. Our host was very hospitable and responsive to any questions or needs we had. We truly loved our stay at the farm cottage and are already planning a return trip in the fall.Highly recommended.

This was a great farm house with plenty of amenities! It was actually better than we expected from the pictures and description! My parents loved it and it's location near Petit Jean Mountain was handy. They also loved the farm fresh eggs and ground beef that was in the fridge upon arrival! Highly recommended!
