Perfect Lake Getaway
These cabins are a quaint little stay close to the water. They are clean and well kept. We enjoyed our stay there.

Not great experience
The environment around the cabin is good, we really enjoy the lake view. It provides free canoes for customers. However, the room is not really clean, we found a dead cockroach on the floor and a cobweb behind the restroom door. Additionally, no wife could be connected in the room, we had to step out of the room and then be able to connect to the wifi. Since there was no cellular signal in that area, it was not convenient. I have to say the A/C made a loud noise when it is working at night even though we put it on sleep mode.

Waterfront property
The location is pretty. But the cabins need updating badly. Dirty stovetop, uneven burners that were difficult to use and no pots/pans/utensils/dishes/plates whatsoever. This would have been fine had it so stated in the listing. But it stated kitchenette. Fortunately the manager was very nice and borrowed the needed items from another cabin so we were able to cook. I appreciated her efforts, otherwise we would have had to drive miles to eat. With just a little more attention this property would be fabulous. It has all the important points, just needs a little tweaking with lighting, etc. All in all, if a person brings their own cooking supplies, they should be fine here. We found many eating places closed right now. The owner invited us to a hamburger fest which was great. People are friendly here.

About the host

Hosted by Keith Talley

Host profile image
Keith and Tina have always had a passion for Caddo Lake. Keith was only two weeks old when his parents first brought him out on the lake. Ever since then, he has found various ways to enjoy the lake setting. One of his favorite hobbies is speedboat racing!

Tina's grandparents owned the historic lake house across from The Uncertain Lodge & Inn that sits in water, it has had a rich history and even found itself on several TV shows and movies. As a child, Tina remembers fishing off the front porch of the lake house and to this day has a scar from leaning a little too far over the edge looking at a turtle.

Why they chose this property

Keith and Tina both have deep roots on Caddo Lake, and they love to spend all their free time out on their boat. The water is their happy place and when they saw this property with such stunning views and access to the lake that they love, Keith and Tina knew that this was the perfect opportunity to share the gift of Caddo Lake with everyone else.
