Sealodge at The Princeville Resort, the most beautiful vacation spot in the world, is located on the North Shore of Kauai where you are close to everything!
Seated on the lanai, one can watch whale mothers swim with their youngsters, back and forth, training them for the long journey to Alaska. Another view from your bedroom plump up your pillow, open the drapes and there`s Alaska (if the world wasn`t round.) Tired of the ocean? Make a 180 turn. Look out the kitchen window to the mountains full of waterfalls (esp. after a good nights rain) The mountains have names and can be found in the #1 guest book located in the unit. The condo has a queen bed and a pune`e (that`s an Hawaiian twin-sized bed-- in an alcove, wonderful for sleeping or just reading). There are lots of books in the `circulating` library. Naps are permitted. Equipped with fully stocked kitchen, washer, dryer, new flat screen HDTV, Internet DSL available. Marble countertops in the kitchen and bath. Kitchen is loaded with all the utensils and pot and pans needed.
Unit also comes stocked with: linens, beach towels, picnic carry-alls, kids toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, There is an assortment of snorkel stuff and reef slippers. The snorkel gear comes and goes, as does the, “revolving library” of books. Unit décor is not a modern theme but rather an island theme with historic photos of Hawaiian kings and queens, geological relief map, etc (my late husband and I thought since we are in Hawaii…let’s know some of the history!).

We really enjoyed this quiet neighborhood and view. We saw whales from our balcony daily! The interior was just what we needed with an extra bed for our daughter. Well stocked with supplies for your stay.
What a wonderful view this place has, from every room too! Very clean and well stocked with kitchen, cleaning, and beach supplies. We really enjoyed our short time here.
Perfect for us. We didn’t use it during the day, just needed a relaxing to place to come to for evenings and nights. Beautiful view from the little patio. We walked down to the beach one time and actually wished we had had more time available to spend time there. Very private and calm waters while we were there. Would go here again!

The best view
This place has an absolutely fantastic view! The building, appliances, and decor are quite dated. But functional and comfortable. But nothing beats falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the beach, and eating breakfast on the little porch overlooking the ocean!
Great location. It has all you need for a beach vacation. You can watch both sunrise and sunset from the backyard, which is unique.
The condo is dated, but clean. The host did not respond to our questions/ask for help during our stay. I can't give a 5 * for this reason.
I’ve stayed at 5 SeaLodge properties. Enjoy the view from this one, but no sunset views as described. Garbage disposal broken and didn’t drain. Toilet has to be manually flushed and overall could use a bit of a refresh. But for us, staying at SeaLodge is always a treat and with a little TLC this property could get 5 stars.
I didn't receive the code to get into the property, but didn't realize it until I got there. I tried multiple methods and times to get a hold of the property manager, to no avail. I contacted VRBO, and they told me that the owner hadn't logged into VRBO since 2023 to check any messages. VRBO told me they couldn't help me and told me to book a hotel for a couple nights and I'd get reimbursed, which didn't happen and they won't write me back now. I don't know if the owner of the property is no longer able to access phone/email, but VRBO should also be vetting their properties on a more regular basis, or at all.
Had to reach out to contact person on listing to get check in details as hadn’t heard from them which is odd. Usually they contact you with all the details in advance. Once we opened up communication it was easy to deal with contact person. Unit is dated. Front door. and windows hard to open . Pool wasn’t open, workers with scaffolding all around property. Bathroom is very small and could use update. There was gecko in room as well as large beetle which we couldn’t find after first spotting which was concerning. Location was ok, great access to local trail to beach , a 20 min walk to Westin restaurant. Loved the area in Kauia , very close to Hanalei bay. View from unit is amazing. Would stay in the area again, but not this resort.
We felt very fortunate to have a relaxing quiet space to come back to each night. Kitchen worked well, we were there Thanksgiving weekend, so it was handy to have a space to make food when the restaurants were closed. Easy driving distance to Hanalei, and we were able to drive to Waimea in about an hour and 45 mins.
This condo has amazing views and was so quiet. We woke up daily to the sound of waves crashing below and sunrises. It was stocked with boogies boards, chairs and snorkel gear.
The view and atmosphere were exactly what we were looking for when selecting a rental. We were able to watch the sunrise and sunset over the water from our balcony, see whales playing in the ocean in the morning, and an easy drive to the activities we wanted to do during our stay. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the room, but what we did spend, we thoroughly enjoyed.
Checkin and checkout were easy, and the times worked well for our itinerary.
The view and overall location were perfect. It was a good value. We watched whales each morning f trying the lanai. However, The washing machine flooded the condo. We used every towel to soak up water. My husband ended up using a broom and dustpan. The contact person answered our call but was unable to get assistance including dry towels. We spent much of our last evening dealing with this and had planned a special meal complete with leis for all that did not work out.
The property is beautiful and the view from the unit is amazing. Truly ocean views! Entry was easy/simple and the kitchen had everything we needed. Overall a great place to stay, only 4 stars because it could use a bit of a deep cleaning.

Decent place for the price, but needs some improvements
There were some good pro's to this property: location, plenty of space, amazing views from the deck, good value. Con's: fairly run down and not very clean, appliances old and dated, door lock malfunctioned and we got locked out of unit and actually locked in unit (not good from a fire safety perspective), no water when we arrived and took 1 1/2 days to get that working, and poor responsiveness/communication from owners. The lock malfunction occurred on the last day we were there. Geri didn't answer when I called and I didn't leave a message since it was too late to do anything about it and she had never responded back about other items.
