Overall, it has been a good place to stay. The host was responsive and friendly. And it is a few minute walk to the best view point where we get to enjoy the firework on July 4.
Thank you for your review, Andrea! We're glad to hear that the location worked well for your visit to downtown and the universities. We hope to host you again soon!

The house is cute and clean, and in a convenient, walkable neighborhood. It’s just a couple of blocks from the spectacular view of downtown Pittsburgh. One caution - the stairs to the second floor are very steep, so anyone with mobility issues should stay in one of the first floor bedrooms. We had a minor air conditioner problem on the first day, but the owner was very responsive and had it fixed as soon as possible.

Thank you, Josette, for your kind words! We're thrilled you enjoyed our home and its convenient location. We appreciate your feedback about the stairs and the air conditioner; we're always here to help. We hope to welcome you back soon!
I brought my elderly parents to town to attend a wedding. Everything we needed was on the first floor. Having no steps to enter the house plus off street parking were huge wins. We didn’t use the second floor but it was really nice up there.

Kimberly,
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We're so glad the house worked out well for you and your parents, and that the first-floor amenities and off-street parking were convenient for your stay. It’s also great to hear that the second floor was a nice bonus, even though you didn’t use it. We’d love to host you again whenever you’re in town!

This house met all of our needs. It was easy to access with a no step back door and only 3 small steps in the front with a good railing. The first floor has two nice sized bedrooms and a full bath w/walk in shower. The kitchen was nice and had everything we needed for the week. We brought our Keurig but they do have a coffee pot available. There are washing machines on the first floor which we did not use but were a bonus. The area nice and felt safe for early morning and late night dog walks. (The local wildlife was very welcoming as well!) There is a good size back yard (not fully fenced) that we could walk the dogs right out the back door. Lots of good food and drink options right on the Mount. Corey was an excellent host. Very helpful and quick to respond. Highly recommend and will stay again when we are in town!

The best part about this rental was off street parking and within 15 minutes of things we wanted to do. Unfortunately this place appears neglected. It has been our worst VRBO experience by far. We don’t expect a palace, but we do expect the place to be clean and maintained. The first thing we noticed was trash strewn in the yard, and leaves piled up around the entrance. The house was warm when we went in. We like to be barefoot inside, but the floors were filthy and made our feet black, so we wore shoes. There were 2 dirty t-shirts on the sofa and a dirty washcloth hanging in the bathroom. The main level bathroom shower temperature allowed for very hot or cold water only and the sink faucet wasn’t attached securely to the sink. A curtain rod was very bent and the curtain wasn’t attached across the rod, so it was hanging off in places. We don’t want workers coming in while we are renting, so that is on us, but I reached out to the owner to tell about the sink and trashy yard early in our visit. He said that the yard would be cleaned but that didn’t happen during our stay. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad the location and off-street parking were a positive part of your stay.
The cleanliness and maintenance concerns you mentioned are not reflective of our standards, and we’ve since addressed them with our team and completed the necessary fixes. Regarding the yard, we do our best to keep it clean; however, the area does have raccoons that can occasionally get into trash and create a mess between services. We actively manage this but it can still happen from time to time.
For future guests, our team is very responsive during stays and happy to quickly resolve any issues—often while you’re out—so your experience isn’t impacted. In this case, we weren’t given the opportunity to fully address everything during the visit.
We appreciate the feedback and remain committed to providing a clean, well-maintained home for our guests.
We really enjoyed our stay! The home is in a nice quiet neighborhood and close to a beautiful walking path. I wouldn’t consider it “high end”, but it certainly isn’t a dive! We didn’t anticipate the beautiful views overlooking downtown from Duquesne Heights! The home is older but has an updated and clean kitchen which was adequately stocked, and we appreciated having 2 bathrooms for the 5 women! There was also a separate bed for each of us which was important. The living room has a comfortable couch and chairs, so was a great visiting place for our late night reunion talking 😉 We would come back and recommend it to anyone.

The property was a great value. We really enjoyed our stay. There are some small reasons why it is not a 5-star location, mostly due to the properties age (steps, AC system in upstairs bedroom, etc). We would certainly stay here again and suggest it for anyone looking for a visit to Pittsburgh. If you love to walk like we do, it works out great. For example, we walked to the incline and then over to the point for fireworks on July 4th.
We decided to book a vrbo for our Kenny Chesney weekend in Pittsburgh. For the same price as 2 hotel rooms we had a whole house! More than enough room for 2 couples!
The host is very responsive. The home is on a cute street and a 6 minute drive to the casino/downtown! We loved having 2 bedrooms on the first floor and the kitchen had everything we needed. The host provided fresh, clean towels and basic supplies in the bathrooms.
We enjoyed sitting at the dining room table at midnight eating our post-concert pizza together (you need to try Bella Monte pizza!)...rather than heading out to eat.
Home is just as described - definitely an older home (quaint!) With several updates. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms were a nice touch and the living room had plenty of seating.
We will stay here again!
