Location, unit - all is good. The host Irina is easy to communicate with and she addressed all our questions and requests very quickly and efficiently. But if you are planning to cook breakfast or else- be aware that non stick surfaces of the frying pans and pots are all scratches and unsafe to use and must be replaced by owner.
Accurately described. Irina communicated well with me during check in process. It was budget friendly and had what we needed to cook meals and save a little money while being able to ski. Property had all essentials. Matterhorn free bus stop is just down the road and easy walking distance in ski boots. Cascade Village is the closest list for skiing and less than 10 minutes on the bus.
Great Reasonable Rental for two people, Convenient Location
this place works well for us (two people) with reasonable price. The place is not fancy as others (higher price). it sits in a short walkable distrance to free bus stop (Matterhorn). this bus stop is highly recommended as it is probably the nearest to vail ski lift. The place is small, but has things we needs - small kitchen for two ppl cooking. the stove is small, but manageable. it does not have dishwasher, we have to hand wash, which is fine for me. The minor issue is that the plates were not super clean (not sure because of hand-wash or something else), few plates have grease, not super clean. I just washed them away.
the interior actually upgraded than the pictures, e.g. fridge, TV.
the bedroom was converted, it has a door to outside, which may be cold for low temp days. The bed is comfortable and warm (hot sometimes). the bedroom is one step down from the rest of place, need be careful not fall esp. when walking at night / low light times.
The checkout is very easy, I'm used to clean the rental room before departure. Per Irina, this place does not need me to do anything (I still do however I can)
highly recommended to skiers who want to save budgets . focus on skiing and eating home-made stuff.
Thanks for Irina hosting us.
Perfect place for a very cost-effective stay in Vail! Bus stop is very close and it's a very pleasant and scenic walk to Lionshead village if you're looking to get your steps in.
I visited Vail from Canada ( and my brother who lives in Avon rented this place for my son and I).
What a gem, rare to find: the place was very cozy and sparkling clean. The queen bed in the bedroom and a pullout queen size couch were both very comfortable and clean.
We took the Red in town bus(free)to the Cascade lift (5 min ride to the slopes). And a Green in town bus back to the apartment from the Vail village.
Unbeatable location for this price, would stay there again any time I can.

This is NOT a two bedroom property
The place is clean and the host is responsive. The neighborhood is nice and the bus stop is very near, as advertised.
On the other hand, this is not a two bedroom property. It is a one bedroom, one living room and a kitchen nook. The bedroom and bathroom doors can be locked on the outside, but not on the inside. In other words, someone can lock you in as you are using the bath or the bedroom. The appliances are very old. The coffee pot has a sharpie mark on the glass "$10, as is." The utensils (wine opener, can opener, knives) are dull and more than 20 years old.
The place is very clean.

Niya,
The place has always been advertised as 1 bedroom. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a pull out queen size couch in the living room. This is as advertised in the description.
The wine opener, can opener and knives were bought last June when I started renting the place.
A described situation with a possibility of “being locked out from outside” is completely wrong and not possible. I am adding more pictures to clarify the doors in the place.
