Sitting on the patio of Gertie's Getaway you'll experience mountain views, crisp clean air, and the occasional grazing deer. Almost 1600 sq. ft, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bath and well equipped kitchen, smart TV's and a bonus TV room, it's the perfect place to retreat with the family or friends. Enjoy your morning coffee from our cute coffee bar while on the master bedroom balcony. Fire up the gas grill and dine al fresco on the patio or light the gas log fireplace and cozy up on the couch. It's your vacation after all. Set your own mood. Convenient to both Midtown and Ski Apache, Gertie’s Getaway makes the perfect location for your next adventure. We are located across from the Links Golf Course in beautiful Whispering Bluff Condos. Guests are required to read and sign the Rental Agreement for House Rules which will be sent to the Guest Portal upon booking.

Spring Break in the Mountains

LOVED our fabulous stay at Gertie's Getaway. The location is scenic and peaceful. The accommodations were perfect so that everyone had their own space. Clean, homey, and charming condo. We will recommend and definitely stay again.

Beautiful property, inside and out! Loved the coziness and comfort of the set up and all the bedrooms and amenities. Host was wonderful to work with leading up to our stay and accommodating for a late check out. We will definitely stay again when visiting Ruidoso.

Quaint Home!

This is the perfect place for one or two couples -- very quaint. The upstairs is quite spacious. We cooked dinner every evening -- the kitchen has a great set-up and is well-stocked. Great location. Definitely will visit again!!

The best little getaway in Ruidoso

This was an amazing property that checked off all the boxes for a fun family holiday getaway. Great location, property, that was clean, neat, well-stocked, and just wonderful. Cathy was in communication every step and went above and beyond. We will be back!!

Home away from home

Plenty of room for our family of 6. So many little touches added to make us feel at home. Stocked coffee bar, Brita pitcher in fridge, FULLY stocked kitchen (pots, utensils, etc), large array of spices, pancake mix and syrup…! The back patio with twinkling lights made it so inviting. It is very quiet, even though most units around us were occupied. we look forward to coming back soon!

Great Mountain Cabin - Feels Like Home!

Gertie's Getaway exceeded our expectations! As soon as we opened the door, it felt like home. It had everything you need, including a magnetic LED light for the grill. Great location & the views were awesome! Heard elk bugling in the mornings not far from the cabin. Cathy was quick to respond & help in any we she could! We are going to tell family & friends about this one and can't wait to go back!

Great Stay at Gertie's Getaway

The condo we rented was well maintained and had everything you would need for a great time. Linens and towels were clean and smelled fresh(a must for me). Each bedroom and bathroom was lovely, well decorated and the beds were so comfortable. Kitchen stocked with everything you could possibly need for meal prep ( I hate waiting in long lines for meals). The kitchen is pretty, has wonderful dish sets and pots n pans of all kinds, even storage containers . The owner has definitely thought of everything. Good for a teenager with TV'S, card and board games. Wifi is strong and a must in today's busy world. Cathy is a wonderful hostess. I highly recommend staying here and if available will stay again.

My husband and I are avid travelers. We understand what makes the difference between a place to stay and a place to remember. It’s the extra touches of unexpected that surprise and delight. My grandkids call me Gertie, hence the name Gertie’s Getaway. We also have a vacation rental on the island of Kauai. Home is West Texas so a retreat in the mountains and one on the beach is a perfect combo. Gotta cover all those bases!

Why they chose this property

When looking for a property in Ruidoso we wanted to focus on a place that was inviting, convenient to town and just felt "right". It was also important for us to find a place that was going to be easy for us to maintain since we don't live full time in Ruidoso. Condo life was perfect for that purpose. The unit is an end unit, quiet and has easy parking. The view from the bedroom balcony helped seal the deal. In the winter, the snow cap on Sierra Blanca is so gorgeous.

What makes this property unique

Gertie’s Getaway isn’t just another condo. It’s the attention to details. The little things. I’ve stocked the kitchen with extra things. I’ve tried to make Gertie’s feel like home. I love a little light hearted humor and our decor expresses that.
