Great time on the lake, paired with excellent people and great food! Not 1 television would work but hey.....i didnt go there to watch tv! I accidentally brought a cockroach home with me, but he didnt make it passed the driveway. Other than that, it was an EXCELLENT experience!

Great Location
My family of 4 and another family of 4 just came and spent 5 days at this house.
The house is in a quiet cove and was large enough for the 8 of us. It also had a nice large deck for the kids to run and play from when we were not on the boats.
We were able to park two boats at the property without issue.
Having the boats right outside of the front door is a nice treat compared to walking from a house to the dock.
The house was missing several essential items (pots, ice trays, spatula, wine opener) and had a few mechanical issues (septic filled up, washer didn't work and had overflow from sewer in it, hot water heater didn't work). Most of the dishes were also dirty upon our arrival. That said, after alerting the repair staff that there were issues, they were very quick to respond and resolve all issues except for the washer. The repair staff was great to work with and very timely.

Disappointed
I’m not one to normally leave a negative review, but I will say overall the house was a disappointment. We have stayed at Whittman Hollow in other houses and never had an issue but this house was issues from the beginning. Upon arriving to the cabin there was a huge wasp next on the front porch, I called to see if they had any wasp spray but they did not, I asked if they had any suggestions on getting it down since it was directly over the outdoor table and they said no not really and hung up. We had to go out and get wasp spray and took it down ourselves. Next the water wasn’t turned on for the cabin, they did send someone out quickly to get the water on. The outside shower doesn’t work, the bathroom downstairs is just a toilet in a closet with no sink, the kitchen sink and bathtub both backed up and wouldn’t drain. The washer and drier do not work, we tried using the washer and it flooded the downstairs, we immediately called and the staff told us they didn’t know what to do or have anyone to call so we were stuck having to figure out how to shut the water off and clean the mess. If this were a cheaper place to rent some of this would be expected but for $800 a night we felt like we got ripped off.
The view is spectacular, the owners are nice and the house is very clean! That being said, there are definitely pros and cons. It's a bit overpriced for what was more like "glamping" than staying in a home, but if you're into that you'll love the place. The cons: The outdoor shower that was advertised is non-functional and inoperable so there were 6 of us trying to shower in a tub that did not drain. The bedrooms are directly across from each other but there are no doors. There was one curtain for the master, but it was essentially see through. We through a towel over the curtain rod and that helped. There's a toaster oven, but no oven and no hood fan over the stove. The downstairs bathroom is very small and the light was out so we had to use a lantern. BTW, you can only use Marine and RV grade toilet paper VERY sparingly. We had some initial issues that they took care of right away, but they did not take care of the huge wasp nest outside in the top of the ceiling on the front porch.
The Pros: The house was very clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable. There were plenty of pots, pans, dishes, glasses, etc. in the kitchen. It was fun to be able to swim off the dock and we did use the jumping board with no problems. There were plenty of chairs on the porch for everyone. It was nice to have a porch on the front and on the back. The air conditioner worked fantastic and we were always comfortable. There was a washer and dryer. We didn't need the washer but it was very nice to have a dryer at the end of the day to dry our beach towels. The view was INCREDIBLE!!!! It was also fun to watch the boats come and go out of the marina. It's definitely not a 5 star place but feel eventually it will be. Again, if you're into glamping, you'll love it.
We really enjoyed our stay. You can’t beat being on the water! Property was clean and had everything we needed!

Annual get away
The crew and staff were so so nice. Awesome people. I wouldn't pick the same place to stay. No doors on the 2 bedrooms. No window coverings and it sits in the busiest section on the cove so everyone that passes on their boats wave at you while your in and out of the house. Downstairs bathroom isn't a bathroom like advertised, it's a closest with a camper toilet in it. The other bathroom/outside shower, NOPE a nasty looking spot for it but nothing is hooked up. Ladder to get out of the lake in front, totally unsafe and very hard to get up. They have a board to jump off up on a ladder, and that is what it is a BOARD on a ladder, so none of us would do it. I want to give a shout out to Lucas, the guy that would not give up on the septic issues we had. Place gave us what we needed, somewhere to sleep and relax in the beautiful water BUT not there again. Oh make sure you take a Roku or Firestick if you want to watch any TV. This wasn't mentioned to us, they have these big TVs but only can watch movies, which they had a lot of movies.
Got on houseboat, knats flying all over kitchen found old food & trash in compactor. No water for the first day & half. Old towels in washer half filled with water. Washer wouldn’t work. Had to call maintenance toilets stopped working took them hours to come fix it had to call multiple times. Manager said she would talk to owner about a discount or partial refund and call me. Never heard from them! Poor experience will never rent there again……
