The "Vieux Port" district (at the foot of the apartment) is popular with locals and tourists alike. You'll be a 5-minute walk from Le Panier, 15 minutes from the MUCEM and 20 minutes from the Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde.

## Emplacement
The 1st arrondissement is in the city's hypercentre, and is the beating heart of the Phocaean city. It is home to many historic buildings, including the Mission de France church, Saint-Théodore church, the Maison du Figaro and the Hôtel Pesciolini. The Jardin des Vestiges, discovered in the 20th century, is home to the remains of Marseille's ancient port, and a quiet, pleasant place to stroll. The atmosphere is warm and lively! Here you'll find many of the restaurants typical of the Old Port, as well as shopping streets such as Rue de la République and Rue du Paradis. The district's extensive public transport network makes all parts of the city easily accessible.
