Illeris Strand, just north of Hvalpsund, is a beautiful recreational area with easy access to swimming spots, jogging trails, footpaths, golf courses, fishing spots and practically a huge variety of activities. You can also relax here, enjoy the fjord, take the ferry to Salling and visit the birthplace of Jeppe Aakjærs. Or perhaps you would like to find out more about Stone Age compost, which you can do in Ertebølle. You can also visit the world-class golf course, Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort.
