Kaysersberg has several paid parking spaces (Monday to Sunday, from 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 7 pm) on the outskirts of the city center. The city center has a 2-hour parking limit and may be fully pedestrianized during certain times of the year (Christmas markets, heavy tourist traffic, etc.).
Need parking permits (5€ for each 24-hour period per vehicle to park in a city ring parking lot)? Reservations and payments must be made with our team at least 48 hours before arrival. (After this deadline, we can no longer guarantee the availability of these permits). This permit does not guarantee a parking space.
The Neighborhood: Kaysersberg, with its half-timbered houses, beautiful historic center, and the imperial castle ruins (Kaysersberg means “Emperor's Mountain”) overlooking the town, has an irresistible charm. It is therefore an unmissable stop in Alsace. The town is also very famous for its Christmas market.
Due to its strategic location, which allowed control of transit between Upper Alsace and Lorraine (via the Bonhomme Pass), the Kaysersberg Valley has been occupied by soldiers since Roman times. In the early 13th century (around 1218), the fortress was built. This marked the beginning of the city’s prosperous era under the control of the Hohenstaufen family. Kaysersberg became an imperial city of the Holy Roman Empire in 1293. In the 14th and 15th centuries, the city flourished due to the granting of numerous privileges such as the right to hold a weekly market and an annual fair. The city was part of the Decapole (a mutual alliance of 10 Alsatian cities). Its wine production became very successful and was exported to the Empire. The 17th century was difficult due to the Thirty Years’ War, which left the region in ruins after passing through various armies, but the city regained prosperity in the second half of the century. In the 19th century, many textile industries settled in the region, and in the 20th century, the city was partially destroyed during the Second World War.
House Rules: This is a non-smoking house. Smoking cigarettes, e-cigarettes, hookahs, or any other smoking devices is strictly prohibited. Smoking or using any smoking device will result in a penalty of 250€ for additional cleaning costs.
Bed linen and towels, as well as the standard final cleaning at the end of your stay, are included in the price. This includes changing the bed linens and general cleaning of the apartment and bathrooms.
However, it is your responsibility to clean and put away the dishes, take out the trash, empty the refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, oven, and microwave, as well as tidy up the apartment. If you do not wish to handle this, you can pre-order a “full cleaning” option for 30€ before your arrival. If you do not book this option in advance and fail to follow these rules, a penalty of 60€ will be charged for cleaning fees.
Pets are allowed upon request (animals under 15 kg and non-dangerous) with an additional charge of 30€ per pet for the stay. Pets must be kept on a leash outside the apartment.
After booking, you will be asked to sign a digital contract and provide your ID through the Yaago platform, as well as the necessary information for the police registration form, in accordance with current regulations. If the identity of the people present during the stay does not match the booking, we reserve the right to refuse access to the apartment.
Before, during, and after your stay, our reception is available by phone 24/7. You will be provided with the contact number once your booking is confirmed.
