Relaxing and Comfortable Stay

A few friends and I came out to celebrate one of our birthdays. We all love nature and this is definitely the place to be for a nature get away. We were able to go for hikes during the day and be cozy in the evening.

Firefly House - Frio River

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We shared this beautiful rental with another family and made some great memories. It's a lovely house with a nice upstairs king-sized bed and full bath. The house was very clean and comfortable. We did have a minor issue with the shower valve not shutting the water off, but I called the owner Mike and he was at the house within 15 minutes. He had it fixed in an hour or less. Great customer service! The house is also convenient to the river and there's a nice spot where you can set-up a tent and sit in the river. Water isn't too deep so kids can swim and have a nice time.
Response from VrboOwner on 29 May 2026
Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad your families were able to make great memories together during your stay. It’s great to hear you found the house clean, comfortable, and well suited for your group. We also appreciate your understanding regarding the shower valve issue, and we’re happy Mike was able to get it taken care of quickly for you. Thank you as well for sharing the great river spot nearby for families with kids to enjoy. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back again soon!

Spacious Cabin Close to Frio

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a late arrival and were met within a few minutes at the office after hours. The cabin itself was very clean and spacious for our family of five. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was cool and quiet, despite the 100+ degree weather during our stay. The river is a short 3 minute walk away, but we preferred to go to Garner State Park, where there is a little more room to float and swim. The house is close to everything in town.
