Welcome to The Ranch SSI! Here you will experience a beautifully redesigned home with a clean, modern style, located in the heart of St. Simons Island. The Ranch SSI is located in the Island Retreat area of the island only a few blocks away from Mallery Park and the St. Simons Pier and Village area with local shops and restaurants, as well as one of the oldest lighthouses in Georgia. The Ranch SSI is just a quick 3 minute drive (rent a golfcart for the ultimate island experience) to the beaches and our favorite coffee shop-- Wake Up Coffee Company! The Ranch SSI's location is only topped by its cozy coastal style.

Kitchen: the kitchen was designed around a huge window overlooking the back yard to bring the sunshine inside and create an inviting hub for gathering. The kitchen features a large waterfall island with four stools, and is fully stocked with new kitchen appliances and everything you need to cook delicious meals during your stay. The kitchen is part of an open floor plan and is connected to the living and dining areas.

Living and Dining Areas: Living area features two full sized sofas, built-in storage, and a large TV for movie nights. Natural light goes along with clean, neutral colors and comfy, modern furniture to create a relaxing place to retreat. The dining area is centrally located in the home and features a fireplace with an extra long table for family meals, card games and a gallery wall of old photos of the golden isles.

Sunroom/Porch: Walk through the archways into the sunroom/porch with a Southern haint blue ceiling and a large lounging sectional. The sectional can act as 2 twin beds for sleeping an additional 2 people. Opposite the sectional is a full sized ping-pong table for extra fun! The back door of the sunroom/porch leads to the back yard and a small inviting deck area.

Bedrooms: All 3 bedrooms feature clean white bedding on custom designed beds, with extra sheets and pillows if needed. Each bedroom has a tv and a closet for storage.

Bathrooms: Both are freshly renovated with a unique modern design and gold hardware. Each is stocked with an abundance of soft white towels and include hair dryers and makeup towels for your convenience.
Bathroom 1: Located in the hallway and serves bedrooms 1 and 2. Features a combination tub and shower.
Bathroom 2: Connected to Bedroom 3 and features a large walk-in shower with dual shower heads and a toilet nook. Also includes a stack washer and dryer for laundry needs.

Kid-friendly: Traveling with kids is something we do often so we've included children's dishes and silverware, a booster style high-chair, a pack-n-play, and an assortment of card/board games for your convenience. (Please bring your own sheets for the pack-n-play.)

Beach Gear: 4 beach chairs, beach towels and a bag of beach toys are included for your convenience.

House is spacious and has lots of nice rooms and comfortable beds. The pool is nice and has a shallow deck that’s great for sunning. The kitchen supplies were perfect and provided anything you would need for easy to complex cooking. The location on the island is great as well.

We stayed here for my best friends bachelorette and had an amazing time!! We got stuck with rain unfortunately but this place was so nice to have a cozy night in and play games. We all said we wanted to live here. I will definitely be back to enjoy the pool and fire pit next time.

St. Simons perfect house

This house is absolutely beautiful, well stocked and immaculate. The pool was nice to relax in after enjoying time at the beach. The house has everything that you would ever need from beach towels and beach chairs to extras in the kitchen and bathroom. The hosts were quick to respond and went above and beyond to help accommodate my son , who is in a wheelchair. Perfect location and easy access to all areas of the island.

The Ranch is beautiful!! My stepdaughter graduated from College of Coastal Georgia from the Nursing Program and as part of her gift we decided to rent someplace convenient for family and friends to come celebrate her graduation. The Ranch was the perfect place! Very clean, great location, beautifully decorated. We will definitely be renting The Ranch again in the future.

Perfect Retreat House

Perfect house and location for a getaway for a group of long-term friends. We loved the layout, spacious kitchen and living area, and especially the heated pool and yard. We got to relax and enjoy St. Simons (within walking distance) and the beaches. The hosts were very responsive and had thought of most everything, including beach chairs and bags. Convenient and very comfortable. We had a wonderful trip and many thanks to Aletha and Bo! Also, it’s worth a short drive to Wake Up Coffee Company - amazing lattes.

Family/Spring Break Vacatio

This property was beautiful! Having our own pool to hang out at was so nice for this trip, as well as more than 1 bathroom. If you drink a LOT of coffee like we do, be warned the coffee pot is an 8 cup pot. But that was maybe our only thing? Once we figured out what switch turned off the front light, sleeping got easier. You'll never need to worry about towels or packing a separate beach bag, it's all there to use.

This house was everything pictured & more! Clean, comfortable & perfect for our girls weekend. The layout is wonderful for multiple guests and we really enjoyed the outdoor space (patio, heated pool & fire pit). The host was INCREDIBLY friendly and so fast to respond when we needed anything. The home is located in a very nice area with plenty of parking. We enjoyed that all of SSI’s attractions were located close by. We could not have had a better experience here & are so grateful for the memories created in this home! If you’re considering staying elsewhere you can stop searching because this place really has it all! Thank you so much for everything!!

Just Perfect!

We stayed for my daughter's Bachelorette weekend. This home is so beautiful and cozy. It is clean and spacious. The host was quick to answer any questions we had. We were a party of 9 and the space was perfect to bring us together without feeling cramped. The pool area was private and such a great place to hang out. The kitchen was well-appointed with everything we needed for meals. Indoor and outdoor spaces were well thought out. They had beach chairs, coolers, towels, etc. for us to use if we needed them. We could not have selected a better place to celebrate our bride-to-be!

Perfect family getaway

This location was absolutely perfect. It was a beautifully renovated home and the hosts were exceptional. We were looking at St. Simon for an end of the summer getaway and this home popped up at the last minute. What a gem! The board games and ping pong table were perfect for the kids. The pictures don’t do justice for how beautiful the home is and it’s conveniently located to the beach, shops and restaurants. It was well stocked with all the supplies needed to make this the perfect getaway. There were even battery operated skewers for roasting marshmallows over the backyard fire pit. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you Aletha and Bo for being the perfect hosts.

Amazing family home

First impression of the home... Beautifully done! This is a fantastic property that really makes you feel at home. The owners thought of everything to make your stay better. Our kids absolutely loved the pool and backyard. Also, a big shout out to the hosts! Day 1 we couldn't locate the remote for the living room tv.. I contacted the owners and they offered to come over and help us look if we wanted or replace the actual tv which they did. That is the kind of service we all hope for when staying in a vacation rental. You will not be disappointed with home or the hosts, I promise you that!

Beautiful clean house

We had a lovely week at the Ranch. We were three adults and two children. Everything was very, very clean and fresh. The house is nicely decorated and newly renovated. The nice sized and bright kitchen with everything you need for family dinners is open to the living and dining rooms. There is an abundance of fluffy bath and beach towels. The bathrooms are spacious and very nice. The master bath is quite large and has a convenient laundry area. Beds were good and comfortable. It was a nice touch that plenty of paper towels, tp, full sized dish soap and unscented laundry soap were available so we didn’t have to run out for those. It’s about a mile to Massengale Beach, which we did walk a couple of times but mostly drove. There were sidewalks most of the way but not the entire way. Definitely bike-able. The beach area had easy free parking, restrooms, and a shady picnic area. The pier area with lots of restaurants is also walking distance - a little bit closer than the beach. The ping-pong table was enjoyed by the kids. Aletha and Bo were responsive and friendly hosts. And the fig tree in the backyard had ripe fruits! Yum. We are happy to recommend a stay at the Ranch!

Even better than the pictures!

We walked in the door and my youngest daughter said, “can we come here for every vacation” and my oldest daughter said, “Mom, we’ve found ‘our place’!” The ranch is so beautifully decorated and welcoming. It is fresh, clean, and cozy. My son’s favorite part was the room with the ping pong table. The pool was so much fun….and there is also a fire pit and huge yard to throw the football. It was a short drive to the beach…but, we rented a golf cart for part of the time and it was so nice to get to the beach and head to dinner downtown! There is plenty of room….lots of towels and blankets. Everything you need! The owners left a goodie bag with coffee and treats. It was such a great trip! We will be back for sure!

My family and I loved this property. Everything was beautiful and the house was immaculate. We loved the pool and the fire pit. The pergola was beautiful at night. Anything you could possibly need when you cook was there. We road bikes to the beach. The owners are awesome to work with and I would highly recommend this house to anyone. We would definitely stay there again. We come every year to St. Simons and this by far has been the best place we have stayed.

St Simon’s Retreat

We stayed at the property for the month of February. The house is newly-renovated and very comfortable. Everything was as described in the listing and the pictures are accurate representations. The location is close to everything on St Simon’s. Aletha and Bo are wonderful hosts and were very responsive to our questions and requests.
