Welcome to the Shabby to Chic Downtown Getaway, a charming heritage home built in 1887 located right in the heart of Truckee, California. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this expertly remodeled and designed home is perfect for a small group of friends or family who want to experience everything that Truckee and Tahoe have to offer while enjoying the comforts of home. INSIDE THE HOME
As soon as you step into the home, you'll be greeted by its bright and airy atmosphere. Many charming heritage features have been preserved, like the vintage door knobs to the character windows. The living room is a great hangout spot and the primary suite is a cozy space that has been immaculately decorated and has a completely remodeled ensuite. The guest room also has a queen bed, and both rooms have flat-screen TVs. The dining area is perfect for intimate sit-down meals and the renovated kitchen is bright and completely updated. The eclectic yard is a surprisingly large space that's perfect when the weather gets warm.

The location of Shabby to Chic home is truly ideal. You'll be just steps away from shopping, dining, and entertainment, in downtown Truckee as well as hiking and other outdoor activities.
Truckee is close to everything Tahoe has to offer, from the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tahoe to the world-class skiing at Northstar. And with easy access to highways, you can quickly and easily travel across Tahoe to other sights like Squaw Valley and Donner Lake.

The place was great. Well-appointed and a FANTASTIC location. Light sleepers might struggle with the train but the host thoughtfully left earplugs for guests. Would stay here again.

This home was very close to the downtown area (3 blocks), which allowed my wife and dog to easily walk over when they wanted. The heater works so well we had to take off blankets and turn the temperature way down at night. The kitchen is adequately stocked and some previous tenants left some spices. The check-in and checkout was easy and the condo was modern and clean. We'd stay here again!

The home had everything my boyfriend and I needed for our three night stay. It was walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops in Truckee and about 20 minutes to Palisades where we loved the skiing. The place was cozy and warm and great communication with the property managers.

We absolutely loved this house, it's history, the location, and how welcoming this boat was. The ability to explore Tahoe, walk to an incredible kids playground, be a block for downtown, and have an enclosed outdoor space was perfect. The host was responsive and very helpful.

What a wonderful time! The property was very easy to find. It was so clean - even the pillows inside the pillow cases smelled clean - none of that smell of repeated use. The house was exactly as described - an old little cottage type home converted into a sheik little rental. It was adorable. It was warm and cozy. The fenced in yard was great for our little dog and the kids to explore. They left little gifts around for the renter and a coupon - we WILL be booking again. I guess it’s Tahoe Signature Properties. They were communicative, welcoming, and responsive. You had the privacy of a rental with a full kitchen and all the cleanliness and detail of a hotel right down to having someone on call to help you if needed. It’s also amazing that’s it’s right down the street from the center of town. We will be back for sure and will also be keeping our eye out for other properties rented via this company. Happy Mother’s Day indeed! Thank you!

Great stay; great location!

Cannot oversell how great the location was... some places "in Truckee" are not really walkable, or easily walkable. This was great to just pop over to a meal or shop. The place was clean and quite a comfortable bed... at least the one we slept in!

This little house is in a perfect location, walkable into the heart of town, has parking, a side yard for hangs and is basically attached to the newly developed riverwalk. Absolutely wonderful! Thank you!
