About this property
Selah Serenity Tent-n-Breakfast Glamping for 2 in Finger Lakes Woodland Site
Selah means "to pause" or rest, and that's what you'll do in this Finger Lakes woodland retreat, in a spacious 15x20x12 glamping tent featuring a queen size bed and eclectic furnishings, with a wide front deck boasting a table and chairs, with additional deck space at the back entrance.
This platform tent is nestled in a quiet corner of our woods, and from the comfy deck chairs, you'll enjoy majestic views of our 30-acre woodland, and down the hill, our quiet koi pond. A separate gravel lane leads to the Selah tent, enabling you to park your vehicle close to your nightly dwelling.
Our private family "Glampground" is literally hidden away from the rest of the world with groomed walking trails to explore, an expansive lawn area around the pond, and plenty of small wildlife you can spot from afar. Guests are welcome to paddle boat in our pond, have frog and turtle catching competitions (catch and release, please), and wander our 30+ acres.
We offer an assortment of campfire snacks in our Gourmet S'mores treats tray included with your stay, and we deliver it at dusk, when we will light the camp lanterns and community bonfire (weather permitting) for guests to enjoy. In the morning you will enjoy a delicious, locally sourced, farm-fresh breakfast, made with organic ingredients wherever possible, and served at our Dining Pavilion.
To explore numerous destinations in this beautiful Finger Lakes wine country region, please don't hesitate to ask for directions to area wineries, breweries, distilleries, which you can find in a short drive almost any direction, as we are right between Canandaigua, Keuka, and Seneca Lakes. Other local outdoor recreation you can enjoy at nearby venues includes hiking, boating, swimming, paddle boarding, biking, local farm and craft markets such as the Windmill, and numerous other local sites to explore (Ask us about our favorite hidden gems in the region!)
Other things to note:
Glamping is good, old-fashioned outdoor camping with glamorous comfort. Your linens, towels, and basic bathroom essentials will be provided, along with our famous breakfast and bonfire. However, off-grid camping still means no Wi-Fi, street lights, or electricity, and our private gravel/dirt road leads you into the property. We do everything we can to create a pampered, relaxing stay, but we still recommend you bring your spirit of adventure and plan to get up close and personal with nature and the great outdoors. Thank you for understanding that we cannot accommodate pets.

About the host
Hosted by Rainey Jones

Hi there! I’m Rainey, a wife, and mother of nine, with three of the kids married, and eight grandchildren so far! I’ve always been an entrepreneur and in a previous chapter of life, did a lot of catering as well. I have a gift for hospitality, and I love to cook, decorate, and make people feel welcome, especially around my family’s table. Since 2018, I’ve built a reputation as an short-term rental superhost, offering tent and breakfast accommodations at my family’s Glampground property where we offer multiple Safari platform tents, a popular yurt, and a hot, homemade, locally sourced breakfast on a beautiful woodland site surrounding a quiet pond. Our guests repeatedly tell us “there’s something about this place – it’s almost magical!”
In 2020, we built an open-air pavilion to further develop my breakfast and mealtime offerings. I also operate two additional rental homes (Rainey’s Rooms) in the nearby village of 600 where I have lived with my family for 30-plus years in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York.
I invite you to enjoy your getaway here at Water to Wine!

Why they chose this property
My husband and I bought our camp when our children were young, the kids grew up there. Between frog catching contests, paddle boats, picnics, dirt biking, bonfires, camp outs, and the occasional wedding it was our special getaway. Now that the kids are growing up and going out on adventures of their own, I decided it's time we share our little piece of heaven with others. So, here we are, meeting new people from all over the world, making new connections, and enjoying the opportunity to share what we were blessed with.
What makes this property unique
30-acre private woodland site, surrounding a quiet, peaceful koi pond. Open-air Dining Pavilion where our homemade, locally sourced breakfasts are served. Community Campfire tradition with Gourmet S'mores, and a unique glamping getaway in a tent where you'll feel pampered and long to return for another visit. What's not to love?
