Perfect Getaway - Cozy Cottage in The Galena Territory

The moment you walk into this updated home, you'll begin to breath easier. With 3 bedrooms and great gathering spaces, your whole group will enjoy your time together. Great for families, couples or girl's getaways.

The Master suite (lower/living level) has a king-sized bed and ensuite with huge walk-in shower and double vanity. The upper level (entrance level) features 2 additional bedrooms and a second bathroom with a large jetted tub.

The open concept living/dining/kitchen area on the lower level allows for easy conversations and hanging out. Enjoy a meal on the screen porch in the summer or the warmth of a crackling fire in the winter.

You'll likely see wild turkey and deer cross the lawn. If you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of "Glenn the Galena Groundhog" who lives under the deck. On clear nights, you can see the entire Milky Way.

Relax with our easy check in and check out process - no long list of things to do before leaving.

We are pet friendly with a $50 pet fee for additional cleaning often needed when furry friends come along. Please be sure to add pets to your reservation and the fee will be added.

As guests of The Galena Territory, you have access to indoor and outdoor pools, world class golf, game room, basketball/pickleball courts, hiking trails, horse riding and of course Lake Galena for fishing and boating.

It's an easy drive (15 min) to charming downtown Galena shops and restaurants and Chestnut Mountain ski area.

Perfect for Weekend Getaways

This was the perfect house for our family weekend getaway. From the start we felt right at home. The house itself was spacious yet cozy, very clean, and well-equipped. It had everything we needed from the comfortable bedrooms to the fully stocked kitchen, and a cozy living area with fireplace that made for a perfect movie night.The neighborhood was perfect for our morning walk and the area was just right for star-gazing. The host was also very responsive and helpful, providing us with all the info we needed before our stay. I would highly recommend this beautiful home.

Perfect Cozy Stay!

Beautiful house that had perfect details with amenities and activities in the house! My friends and family and I stayed after skiing all day and it was a perfect place to relax with the fire and comfortable atmosphere. Can only imagine how nice/beautiful it is in the summer! Will have to come back!

Great girls getaway

There were five adult females ages 36-47. We loved the large table to play games, pig out on snacks and have cocktails. We had wild turkeys walk through the yard each morning, and even gobble back to us when we “talked” to them. We’d recommend this place anytime!!

Simply Wonderful!!

We couldn’t have asked for anything better! The house was so adorable with plenty of room. The owners thought of everything with lots of scan codes for instructions as well as lists of best places to eat, etc. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to Galena.

A cozy home with fun wildlife

The house exceeded our expectations. It cozy and very clean. We were mainly there midweek and it was very quiet with turkeys and deer periodically running past the windows. Very nice.

Cozy winter getaway

We spent the weekend with friends for a change of scenery. The house was cute, clean and cozy. The kids had fun in the snow and sledding down the small hill by the side of the house! The owner was very communicative and flexible! Highly recommend!

Family wedding in Galena. We dont like the hotel scene. This property was the perfect alternative. Not too far to drive. Cozy, quiet. Lots of nice touches. One of the nicest places we have stayed at.

Great house, loved all the little helpful notes throughout the house. One of the pictures made it look like there was a grill on the deck but there was not, very minor disappointment because there was a mini one in the storage closet. Very quiet neighborhood, excellent experience, would definitely stay again.

Loved everything about our stay here in the territories. The place was spacious for 4 people, well maintained and very clean. We took advantage of the screened in porch. Sarah, our host was very fast to respond and accommodating. Such a lovely little place. Our only regret was not having more time. Definitely recommend!

30th Bday Girls Weekend

Highly recommend this property! Our stay was wonderful. The house is clean, cozy, and comfortable. It’s perfect for a girls weekend! The owners have thought of all the little things (e.g., bandaids, extension cords for the outlets next to the bed, board games, extra blankets, fully stocked showers, etc.). The house is nestled in a lovely wooded area with lots of greenery. It is a quick drive from downtown Galena. There aren’t blinds on the windows in the living room, so just don’t watch any scary movies before your stay and it’ll be just fine ;). You can’t go wrong with this pick!

Wonderful Fall weekend

This home is fantastic! It is immaculate, up to date, with lots of thoughtful extras. I wish more owners were as thorough. Cute labels were very helpful for all the little things. We were very comfortable and loved seeing all the turkeys and deer enjoying the apples from all the apple trees. The owners were very helpful and quick to answer questions. Just note that there are several steps down to the main level. This little house is a gem!

Galena Get Away

When we first got to the property, we thought, oh wow, this is smaller than what we thought. When we went inside, we were just in awe! It was beautiful, so big and had everything we needed, and more. The yard was awesome for the kids and the area was great. Such friendly people walking by, stopping to talk. The pool was amazing that we were able to use. It was nice to have the screened in porch for eating and keeping the littles out of the sun for a bit. It even rained a little, but we were still "outside"!!We're hoping to make this a yearly stay!! The only thing that we would've liked to be different, would've been to have a bigger grill to use, but not complaining, as it worked fine.

Beautiful autumn weekend!

Five friends met up for an overdue long weekend in Galena. Have gone the B&B route in the past, but decided to try this VRBO property as it is pet friendly which we needed this time. Sarah is extremely helpful and prompt with communication. We had to change our length of stay (within the change/cancellation window), and she was very understanding and processed our one night refund immediately. She emailed all check in and check out instructions, property manual, etc. prior to our arrival, and we had no issues during our stay. The property was well appointed, SUPER clean, and the beds were amazingly comfortable. Lovely wooded backyard area (peak fall colors were an added bonus). We enjoyed both the indoor wood fireplace and outdoor fire pit, and the property is very quiet and serene. Saw many deer and wild turkeys during our stay! The trek into Galena was just under 15 minutes, so super easy to go back and forth for shopping, dining, and activities. We had a wonderful stay, and hope to return one day. Would definitely recommend!
