The Flying Eagle house overlooks the village of Emigrant with spectacular views of Emigrant Peak and a wide section of Paradise Valley.
Conveniently located on a private dead-end road with a scenic 4-minute drive up/down the hill on a paved road to/from ‘downtown’ Emigrant (Emigrant General Store (has almost everything), The Old Saloon, Follow-Yer-Nose BBQ (summer), Wildflower bakery; Bank, Post Office, Church, Dining). 10-minute drive to Chico Hot Springs and Sage Lodge. 30 minutes to Livingston and Gardner/YNP.
Well maintained, two level, 4 BR, 2 ½ bath (Master bath shared with 2nd level BR) cabin with Montana/Western/Geography décor provides lots of room and flexibility.
The main level has a large open living-kitchen-dining area layout, office room and two bedrooms. There are multiple walkouts to the wraparound deck to take in those spectacular views (and maybe use the BBQ area nook).
The lower level has 2 BR, 1 bath, main living area and bar room (sink and fridge) with walkout access to lower wraparound patio to get outside and take in a different scene under the deck.
Well stocked. Clean. Nice Trees. Maps.

It was a pleasure to stay at Franks house while working in the area. Breath-taking views and a comfortable and spacious house. Frank handled anything that came up and it made for a very nice work trip!
The house was terrific and the views were amazing. There is a bakery nearby as well as two tasty restaurants (The Old Saloon and Follow Yer Nose BBQ). House was well equipped and very comfortable. Highly recommended!!!
Our trip to Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and Paradise Valley was spectacular. This house was just the icing on the cake! House was spacious, clean, and very very accommodating with all the amenities included. The impressive panoramic views is a cherished memory. Can’t wait to come back!

Thank you so much Roseann!
You were wonderful guests (and what a beautifully written review).
Thanks again!
The home was perfect for our stay. So clean and spacious. The home had everything you would need for cooking and just enjoying your vacation!
Lovely deck with amazing Mountain Views! We enjoyed saloons, river rafting, horse back riding and relaxing! Our host was very helpful. A+
We had an amazing time at this property. After a day at Yellowstone, it was so convenient and relaxing to come back to. The kitchen was well equipped for making meals, and the rooms were inviting. Frank was a great host, who answered all of our questions and was there if we needed anything. Would definitely stay there again if we came to the area. Awesome experience for our first time renting on VRBO.

Thank you Suzanne! You were wonderful guests and took such great care of the house!
This is our third trip to the Valley, and the Flying Eagle House is our best rental so far. The house is well furnished and decorated; the kitchen is extremely well equipped, and the landscaping and wildlife around the house are an added surprise. We had a few pleasant communications with Frank, the owner, and are sorry we didn’t get to meet him in person; a super nice guy.

Thank you Steve. It was wonderful to have you as guests.
We found this house in Emigrant online as we planned a trip to Yellowstone and going into the North entrance.
We were amazed at the cleanliness and the amount of things stocked in the house, right down the the bear spray. The laundry room looked like it was never used and the appliances were perfect. I have rented many many houses and never have we rented such a well kept property as this. Frank, the host responded in less than an hour and was very kind and helpful. You can't ask for a better views than you get from the back deck it was really amazing!!!
Excellent accommodation. Great location with wonderful views of the Emigrant Peak and it's mountain range. Clean, well-stocked, with a good location for experiencing Paradise Valley. Top-notch overall!
This was an absolutely wonderful house to spend a restful week. The house and furnishings are excellent and the kitchen is the best equipped of all houses we have rented. The views from the balcony of Paradise Valley are breathtaking. There are many places to visit and shop, as well as excellent flyfishing at DePuys.
The views from the house were amazing! The house was wonderful. Frank was great to work with and easy to communicate. Since we could not get into Yellowstone on the North entrance due to the floods, Frank gave us other great things to check out in the local area. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.
This is a very clean property equipped to a very high standard, it's a real home from home. The views over Paradise Valley are very nice and it is in a nice quiet neighbourhood. The drive to Yellowstone NP is easy and scenic. During the severe flooding the owner contacted me to make sure I was fine, which was thoughtful and much appreciated.
The house is situated on a hill overlooking Emigrant and Pray in Paradise Valley. There are large windows in the great room to enjoy spectacular views. It's very easy to relax here after a long day exploring Montana and Wyoming. Gardiner and the North entrance to the park are only a 30 mins drive. There are local restaurants near by as well. We didn't have to travel very far to find what we needed for our stay.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals and plenty of room at the table to enjoy dinner.
The two bedrooms upstairs share the master bath and there is a half bath upstairs as well. We had no issues with this but you may want to be aware when booking. The beds were all comfortable and extra pillows and blankets are available.
We spent 4 of our days exploring the park and but the last 2 were spent hanging out in the house, relaxing and enjoying the views. Checking in and out were simple and Frank is very quick to reply to messages. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
I came with friends to write and to visit Yellowstone and it’s surrounding areas (for about 10 days). I could not have asked for a better place. Frank the owner was amazing. The house was clean. It was cozy and warm. And it was located in a place with the most amazing view of the Rockies and that made it easy to get to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons as well as area Hot Springs and more. We love to cook and spent a lot of time in the open kitchen, which was well equipped for anything a chef or hiker might need. There’s also a grill outside that we use quite frequently. There’s a bakery nearby. And the views for writing were just amazing all around. I felt lucky each day I woke up. And each day I got to spend in the house and outside of the house. This was a house that was good for the warm days when I was there. It was also good for the snowy days when I was there. And I just can’t underscore enough how clean and hospitable and warm and cozy the house was with all of its wooden rafters and all of Frank’s wondrous hospitality. I rarely go back to one place twice but I would love to re-visit and stay at this beautiful home! 🌸

Hi Intisar,
Thank you so much for the review.
It was a delight to have you as a guest!

The house was very clean and well-stocked.
The view was incredible and ever-changing depending on the clouds and snow cover. Better than it appears in the photos.
We stayed during very cold weather (single-digits) and were cold at night from the air coming in from around the windows at the head of two of the beds. The rest of the house was warm as long as we turned the heat up higher than I would have expected.
There was a substantial roof leak on two of the days when the snow melted off the roof. The owner said he had just replaced the roof over the summer and would get the contractor out as soon as possible. I believe him and am confident he has either already repaired it or he will. He came to the house after I notified him of the leak when my family and I were out. We did leave the house in a mess because we didn't expect anyone to come. The owner got upset when he saw that we had more people than I had reserved for. I'm sure he was already upset that his brand-new metal roof was leaking and the mess just put him over the top. He charged us extra for the extra children and I think we worked it out to everyone's satisfaction.
We left the house very clean and nice. I'm sure if he hadn't come by unexpectedly, he would have been very happy with us.
I recommend the house to anyone who wants a comfortable house in Paradise Valley with a remarkable view. Just out the windows, we saw over 100 elk, a herd of deer, and many birds including a bald eagle and what we think was a rough-legged hawk.
