The cabin was cozy and well equipped and the River view was beautiful. I recommend this place to anyone looking to get away and explore Baxter State Park.
What a peaceful, charming and relaxing place!! The property is immaculately maintained, perched right on one of the best stretches of the Penobscot River, about 1 mile downstream from a dam that blocks kayakers, tubers, etc., and traps the fish into the area just in front of the property, so the fishing is extraordinary, both spin and fly.Mark is a gracious host and makes sure everything is up to your expectations. He keeps his distance to assure your privacy, but is easily summoned if a problem arises. He is also an exceptionally interesting and well-traveled man. Ask for a copy of his book.We loved every minute of our stay in this beautiful state and the cozy cabin. We'll definitely be back.

Thanks so much, Howie! It was a true pleasure having you here. Hope to meet again. Best, Mark
Cozy cabin right on the Penobscot river. You can't beat the location and the fishing is spectacular! Enjoy a quick walk down to the water as well have your fire pit and grill right outside your cabin. The property manager was super responsive at all times of the day and night to help us enjoy our stay. We will definitely be making this spot a yearly tradition when visiting Maine!
