Property was very nice. The location is convenient and secluded. The kitchen is very well stocked. The lake and fire pit are the main attractions. In our case, the lake was difficult to use. If the water level is low, the dock will be out of the water necessitating a trek through mud to use the canoe or kayak. I'd watch the lake level if that is something you want to do.
My family and I just had the most magical stay at this comfy, cozy, nature retreat! We arrived tired from a travel day from hell due to unforseen flight delays but just entering this home wiped our slate clean. We all just dropped that "baggage " at the door and forgot about it all because this house felt like home. All 5 of us recommend anyone looking for a retreat or a home away from home; stay here.
My family had the best time. We spent time in the lake, ate dinner every night on the porch, played cards, watched movies, etc. This house has everything you need! The owners were responsive and kind.
We even picked a few tomatoes from their darling little garden!
Would definitely return!
This lake house is perfect for a lake getaway! The owner was available for any questions I had and made sure my stay was great! The woodwork on the inside is beautiful! Many household items are stocked in the house to make it easier on travelers. My family and I had a great time fishing from the canoe. I would stay again anytime!

Thank you for your review. We strive to make our guests feel right at home and provide our guests with everything you need. Thank you for choosing us, Ron & Sheryll
The cabin was absolutely wonderful. Clean, bright, open, well stocked and just a peaceful place to hang out and spend some time. The property manager or owners, Ron and Sheryll were responsive, helpful and oh so nice to deal with. We enjoyed ourselves so much we will be coming back next summer!!
The cabin was beautiful and was very well furnished! My family and I had a wonderful week there. We made use of the kayaks and caught some fish off of the dock. The owner was very responsive to any questions I had. We even left a few things behind which they offered to send back to us. Highly recommend staying here!
House was perfect for our weekend away. Fully stocked and clean and comfortable. A little disappointed that the lake was dried up but other than that house was great. Owner was very helpful in multiple situations with TV and list item. Thanks Ron
We decided to go out of town and visit our old hometown area. Brought the bass boat had a quiet day is a fission love the secluded Cove we were on. The house was absolutely amazing it was just like being at home. Communication was great between myself and Ron they seem like they are very wonderful people we will definitely be going back to stay again. Five stars all the way thank you Ron
My family of four lived here for five weeks. Ron was a stellar host and the house was fully stocked and totally prepared for a long term stay. The inside of the cabin has great style with comfortable furniture and modern, high quality amenities. The lake was perfect for our kids playing in the water and for my hobby fishing. I found the best place to fish was taking the canoe to the right of the dock in the small river that connects to the lake. My wife spent hours on the back porch and dock reading and enjoying peace and quiet, fresh air and the sounds of the forest. We got all of our books from the Royston, Hartwell and Lavonia library system for free, and also did lots of the activities provided (for free) at those libraries. If you get cabin fever and need to stretch your legs, I recommend getting an annual state park pass and doing morning walks on the 3.8 mile blue trail at Tugaloo that is about 7 minute car ride away. It took my 8 and 11 year old and myself 2 hours with 4-5 small breaks. Start at 8 am and it is perfect temp. Trail has a few small slopes but is generally easy. The fishing poles, kayaks and canoe were really nice and it was a pleasure to keep up with them and also teach my kids how to manage them. We hope to be back in a few years time!
The cabin was very clean and very well stocked. It was very quiet and relaxing. We would highly recommend this home to others. Thank you for having such a nice home.
Beautiful, comfortable, truly a home away from home!
Outstanding, cozy, comfortable cabin in the woods! Everything shown in the pictures of this treasure does not even do this home justice! You have to see this home to believe it! The cabin literally has everything that you will need. We spent a month and truly hated to leave. The porch is absolutely another treasure as we could eat our meals at a full size dining room table. There is also a dining table inside too! There are 4 rocking chairs on the porch that we had our morning coffee and in the evening our wine. The dock is big and also beautiful with a table and chairs. The dock is fully stocked with floats, two Kayacks and a canoe. The bedrooms are also beautifully decorated and comfortable. I enjoyed cooking in this lovely kitchen!
I truly cannot say enough about this beautiful home and the lovely owners as they made us feel so welcomed.
My family and I had a wonderful time at the lake. They thought of everything. Very little we could want for. Very comfortable. Enjoyed using the kayaks and the canoe. A nice walk down to the lake. They even left us a bottle of champagne. Mimosas at the lake. A great way to relax and rejuvenate!

Why they chose this property
Our Cabin is located on a waterfront lot on beautiful Lake Hartwell. We have a swim/boat dock for you to use as our guest. Bring you own boat or rent a Pontoon or Jet Ski at the nearby Marina. There is a boat ramp just 1/2 mile from our driveway. There is plenty of parking for your boat or trailer on the property. Everything in our home from the mattresses, towels, sheets, pillows are new. The large deck has lots of seating and views of the lake. The cabin has a king size master bedroom . A queen size bedroom and a 3rd bedroom with 2 twin beds. The kitchen is updated and fully equipped with everything needed for the cook. The porch is large and furnished with a dining table, rockers, big screen TV and large gas grill. We have great Wifi and there is a strong Cell signal allowing you to use your phone with no dead spots on the property. This cabin allows couples a place for a romantic get-a-way or a fun filled family vacation. Bring you own boat or rent a pontoon at nearby Harbor Light Marina (10 minutes away) We fell in Love with Historic Downtown Lavonia located only 8 mins from the cabin. There you will find shopping, wonderful restaurant's as well as festivals, fairs, a spa, once a month antique auction, and a brewery, coffee shop and even a place to have your pet groomed. We like to visit the 100 year old hardware store just to look. It's hard to believe how different lake life is. Slower, calmer, friendlier. You can totally relax and enjoy yourself at a place like this. The Gumlog area where the Cabin is located has quite the folklore history. We have heard many tells of moonshiners. Gumlog- The moonshine capital of Georgia. We like the Gunlog BBQ and fish lodge and the Honeybee and vegetable market where you can find all manner of seasonal food, herbs and honey in the spring and summer. I love it when I drive up my driveway and a beautiful fawn is tagging behind her mother cross in front of me. It's truly magical and special.
What makes this property unique
Close to Clemson University and The University of Georgia for sporting events. Great fishing on Lake Hartwell (home of the Bass Master Classic) Stores, restaurants and shopping in historic Lavonia or near by (30 minutes from Commerce Outlet, 1 hour from Downtown Greenville, SC and 1.5 hours to Atlanta and 20 minutes from Anderson, SC. We have taken great pains in furnishing the cabin in the best way that suits the style and location. The kitchen has everything imaginable to cook a down home meal or have cocktails and a charcuterie board on the porch. We like to take walks down to the dock where we sit for hours just watching the lake view, along with the birds and wildlife. I love the wrought iron table and chairs on the dock. We are so lucky to have the boat ramp just down the street from the cabin. It makes it so easy to get in and out of the lake when we want to. There is lots of extra parking for our friends and family when they come for a visit.
