Beautiful views at this cozy cabin! Plenty of space to spread out in a secluded mountainside location. Huge decks, really nice hot tub and fun fire pit area. We had a great girls’ trip here!!
We loved our stay at Dancing Bear Den! It was the perfect place for our family vacation. The cabin was very clean and provided everything needed, including spectacular views and even a few bear sightings!
Beautiful cabin with outstanding views. Enjoyed our stay - wish it had been longer, but only there for a few days. My daughter’s 21st birthday and enjoyed so many wineries, breweries and cideries. Asheville was a beautiful spot to celebrate.
Dancing Bear is a beautiful remote mountain home with absolutely stunning views and plenty of amenities for everyone. The house is thoughtfully appointed, with all of the little touches that made it feel like home. We loved the coffee bar! The hot tub was relaxing and the fireflies made it even better. Perfect place to celebrate the 4th of July and our anniversary, we could see fireworks all over the valley. Next time, we might just take the kids!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabin for my daughter's bachelorette weekend! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The views are breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing girls' getaway. The cabin itself was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained. There was more than enough room for everyone to gather together while still having plenty of space to spread out and relax. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, and every detail throughout the home made it feel comfortable and welcoming.Check-in was seamless, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Check-out was just as simple, making the entire experience completely stress-free.If you're looking for a beautiful mountain getaway with amazing views, plenty of space, and a host who makes everything easy, this is the place. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Five stars all around!
We loved our stay for a group of friends getting away to the mountains! It was the perfect retreat to get away from the city but close enough to Ashville to enjoy a day of exploring! We started and ended each day with amazing views!
This cabin and the one next door were the perfect places to host guests for our small Asheville wedding. Beautiful mountain views, well-appointed kitchen, open plan and huge deck that made it easy for friends to interact, relax, play games.
Beautiful views and plenty of space for our group. The deck is the perfect place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. The hosts answered all our questions promptly. When we first arrived we missed our turn into the driveway so go nice and slow or you'll miss it, it's a sharp turn. Overall it was a great experience!
We enjoyed our stay. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is because the WiFi was bad. Not a major issue, but when the property is marketed as “having high speed WIFI”, it was misleading. Everything else was great.
Property is just as advertised. I surprised the family with a short getaway and everyone loved it. We did have a problem with the oven. It would not heat. We discovered this after we had already made the dish and was ready to bake it. The handyman did not make it out so we had to bake it on the grill. It all worked out....sometimes you have to improvise. Also on arrival, one of the smoke alarms was beeping (cleaning service should have noticed this on the day of cleaning). We did have batteries available to switch it out but it continued to beep. We ended up just taking it out of the wall to stop the beeping and made the maintainence man aware of it when we came by to check the oven to following morning. All in all, I would definitely encourage you to book this listing, its beautiful and the sunsets are outstanding!!
The Dancing Bear Lodge is a great location and had plenty of space for our family trip. The attention to small details was very much appreciated. There were plenty of towels, Kleenex in every room, plenty of toilet paper, and all kitchen drawers were labeled for example.
However there were some glaring issues that affected our stay. And these details are very important when you're as remote as you are in the Dancing Bear Lodge.
The primary issue was that the oven didn't work. There is a grill which allowed for an alternative, but we weren't prepared to prep our dinners that way. We'd recommend preparing for that.
We also didn't love that the fireplaces didn’t work. It's called out in the listing but the check-in instructions told us it was broken and asked us not to use it. Felt a little misled by that.
Overall it's a nice property but some of the amenities affected our holiday stay and made us feel a little disappointed in the value for the price we paid.
