Tucked away in nature, Meadowlark offers a peaceful escape from the busy world. Surrounded by trees and set on 150 beautiful acres, it’s a place to slow down, breathe deep, and enjoy the outdoors.
This cabin is located in a shared space on the property near two other cabins, Stone Ranch pavilion and a large shared fire pit—perfect for relaxing evenings and gathering under the stars. While you may see other guests nearby, each cabin still offers its own comfortable space to unwind.
You’ll have access to the full property to explore, including ponds, a nearby creek, and plenty of room to hike, bike, fish, or simply take it all in. The ponds and creek are just a short walk away, offering a quiet place to enjoy the water and surroundings.
Kayaks are available for exploring the ponds or floating along the creek, and you’ll likely meet some of the friendly animals that call the property home—goats, mini cows, a potbelly pig, chickens, cats, and a very friendly dog.
Inside, each cabin is set up for simple comfort, with linens, towels, pillows, blankets, a mini fridge, microwave, pots and pans, coffee pot, dishes, cups, and silverware provided.
Nights are especially peaceful out here, with very little light pollution—perfect for enjoying the fire and a sky full of stars.
A few quick notes: fishing is catch-and-release, the waterfall depends on rainfall, a waiver is required at the start of your stay, and no smoking inside the cabins.
This is a country setting, so you may experience bugs, wildlife, or changing weather - it's all part of the charm out here!

This was a great experience! I would highly recommend it for a getaway off the grid. We brought our dogs, rented the golf cart, went kayaking down the stream and enjoyed hearing lots of birds There’s goats, pig, cows on the property and several ponds to enjoy! Evenings we enjoyed the fire ring…

It was very nice and peaceful i will definitely be back
My husband and I were looking for a peaceful getaway away from the hustle and bustle and we found it here! The cabin was small; perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed fishing the ponds, looking at the stars, and just being in nature. The property is beautiful, the hosts are quick with responses, and seeing all the animals was so fun! Denali even came to our cabin a few times to take a quick nap - she's a great pup!
Great little cabin in a secluded location. Excellent communication with the owners. My dog made friends with their friendly dog also. Would definitely stay again!
A great stay for our long weekend trip for Unbound! We loved the rustic but well-maintained cabin and the outdoor grill. I’d recommend this spot to unwind!

Was a wonderful experience!!! Beautiful location and really enjoyed being able to kayak. Cooked outdoors and relaxed by the fire pit. Signal was hit or miss on my Verizon phone so it just depends if you want to be really detached or the world or not lol.
I highly recommend it and will be back soon for another stay!
This property turned out to be fantastic as a getaway spot. We were outside our cell range (Google Fi) so completely disconnected. Once nightfall hit, the sky lit up with stars I hadn't seen since I was little.
Thank you.
During our Kansas Kruse adventures, my husband and I had a great time staying at the Meadowlark Cabin in Gridley. Very small and quaint, it had everything we needed. We spent time down by the stream. Rains brought more water each day and the relaxing stream on Friday turned into a full blown waterfall on Sunday! We lit a fire in the pit and enjoyed a glass of wine. The location is super easy to get to and feels like you are way out in the woods. Denali, the vrbo dog, accompanied us down to the large pond where we sat on the wooden dock with a drink and watched the sunset. The rocking chairs on the porch at Meadowlark are amazingly comfortable and we could have sat there all night. We would definitely recommend this place.
A little piece of heaven in the little town of gridley was absolutely a perfect place for us. This cabin is one of our top 3 places that we have stayed in. The ponds were all well maintained and stocked with fish. The kayaks and paddle boats were great to ride in, golf cart is a must if you are wanting to get around to the 6 ponds on this beautiful property which they have available for a small price. The bed was a little uncomfortable however the beauty of this little property out weighs our bed situation. There dog Denali is an absolute sweet heart and found out she loves to take rides with us in the golf cart which we were happy to give her a rides. Owners were on point when answering any questions we had. We will definitely be back to Srone Ranch.
Was not able to take a shower because got water heater wouldn’t turn on. No curtain on the front door so people can see right in. Wasn’t given the phone number to the person renting us the cabins so wasn’t able to call or text him.

The water heater was on energy save and only needed a flip of the switch. The phone number is given through VRBO when the property is rented so there was access. We were in contact both in person and via phone with this tenant and their family staying in the other cabin and available for any needs. This was not taken advantage of. This was a disappointing and unexpected review.
I had such a great time at Stone Ranch! Denali, the host dog, met me as soon as I arrived. Then Carrie invited me up to play with the kittens near the main house once I was settled, and Scott showed me how to use the golf cart. The small grass area in the cabin loop was great for star gazing, but if you're there in summer you definitely don't want to forget your blanket and bug repellent before laying out in the grass (oops!). The next day Denali came to greet me at breakfast time and we shared some banana muffins before settling in with mimosas (for me) and water (for Denali) for some bird watching. Then I took a long walk around the property, spent time at a few of the ponds, visited with the kittens again, before meeting back up with Denali at the cabin for a nice afternoon nap. She is the best cabin buddy ever, and even her big-dog snores are soothing! After our nap we took a picnic out to one of the back ponds for dinner before going our separate ways for the night. All in all, the property is gorgeous and incredibly peaceful and the cabin has everything I needed for a quick break from reality. Scott, Carrie, and Denali are truly excellent hosts, so I'll definitely be coming back again soon!
We wanted somewhere to stay outside Kansas city hustle and bustle. This fit our needs perfectly. Considering there are 3 cabins in the same location, I may be back for girls trip with my tribe.
Such a great property to explore! Fishing in the pond for hubby, taking a swim in the pond for our dog, and sitting on the porch enjoying the quiet breeze for me! We even got to watch a good movie on the DVD player. We’ll be back!
This place was perfect for our needs. The cabin has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Very clean. Great property with plenty of space to explore. The owner was a pleasure and easy to get a hold of. Really enjoyed our stay!
Wonderful Cabin near a waterfall with great hosts. We happened into the spring festival of the nearby town of Burlington, went on a hunt for barn quilts in the area, and visited the nature preserve. Great trip!
We had a wonderful visit to the cabin. The host communicated a lot and answered all of our questions. The cabin was perfect and so relaxing! We highly recommend staying here!
We’re local to the area and love spending time outdoors, which is what inspired us to create Stone Ranch Cabin Rentals. We’ve always wanted a simple, peaceful place where people can slow down, enjoy nature, and take a break from the busy day-to-day.
We enjoy being hosts because we love sharing this little piece of land with others and knowing people get to make memories here—whether that’s relaxing by the water, exploring the property, or just enjoying the quiet.
We try to give guests their space but are always nearby if you need anything.
Why they chose this property
We chose this area because of the wide open space, water, and peaceful surroundings. It’s not your typical neighborhood—it’s quiet, natural, and full of little things to enjoy, from the pond and creek to the animals on the property.
It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, spread out, and feel like you’ve truly gotten away for a bit.
What makes this property unique
We spend a lot of time here ourselves and have tried to keep it peaceful, comfortable, and connected to nature. From the animals on the property to the water and wide open space, it's a place to unplug and just be.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
