Welcome to "Golden Ocala" the 'it" destination for equestrians, thrill seekers who kayak, dive, or chase that perfect catch, & sand, sun, and fun chasers of all ages. Our beautiful area is exploding with new residents & possibilities for those who are looking to live or invest here. (And who wouldn't want to live here?! ) Our tropical climate allows us to enjoy all the recreational pleasures our hearts desire, while low cost of living, low taxes, low crime, & Conservative leadership keeps us free to work, learn, & play.
We're on the quiet side of Ocala where you will see why we have the title "Horse Capital of the World." The cottage is nestled in a Farmland Preservation Area surrounded by acres of rolling hills and horse farms. If you are just looking for scenic place to relax, detach, and breathe... our comfy cottage offers that, too.
Heard of the World Equestrian Center? Even if you are not a "horse person" this spectacular venue is something to behold, and now welcomes international guests to our area for world class competitions. It's just 15 minutes away. Rainbow River is 25 minutes south and offers some of the most incredible kayaking and canoeing you've ever experienced. Gainesville is just a little north, with the youthful nightlife and vibe one would expect of a college town (GO Gators!) yet abundant with the arts. Ready to beach it? Orlando, St. Augustine, & Jacksonville offer beautiful white sands and incredible seafood choices. Or head south to the nightlife & Cuban Cuisine hotspot of Tampa, where you can also catch a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game.

Fishing? Oh my....take your pick of hundreds of stocked lakes with record setting trophy fish, or head out to sea for the once-in-a lifetime thrill of landing a saltwater behemoth with one of the areas' fishing charters. Oct-March, you can charter with a local captain to swim with the manatees as they drift into the warm waters of Crystal River. Local favorites Kanapa Botanical Gardens, Devil's Den, the Blue Grotto, and miles of scenic trails for walking & birdwatching are all nearby.

AJ and Rafael were incredibly accommodating - providing the little touches to make you feel welcome. Having your own cottage set aside from the main house was wonderful and watching the horses in the morning was an additional treat!

Peaceful and full of nature

Highly recommended!

Spacious, quiet, and very comfortable cottage. I stayed for 4 weeks while horse showing at HITS and it couldn’t have been more convenient or relaxing after a long day of showing and working. Also very close to WEC! AJ and Rafael were attentive hosts yet very unobtrusive. Waking up to their horses in the morning was an extra treat. I definitely plan to stay again next year!

We love dogs, horses, and all things equestrian. Our farm is home to 5 gentle horses and 3 rescue pups. We are native Floridians who also enjoy the salt life when we can, seafood anytime anywhere, and are lifelong Florida Gators & Miami Dolphins fans!

Rest at ease WITHOUT masks in your quiet, private 2200 square ft residence with all the comforts of home, including deluxe Master suite with KING size posturepedic mattress for your extra comfort and perfect restful sleep. There is also a spacious great room with extra sleeping accommodations & Direct TV.
Soothing interior colors of green & blue enhance your relaxation & bring a welcome cool to evenings after warm sunny days at equestrian events, on the beach or boat or golfing. You can also enjoy a private outdoor patio with a grill overlooking the horse pastures.
The neighborhood has shady public trails for walking. We have a gated entrance for security and the guest cottage is very private with 24 hour keyed guest access. We are conveniently located near Gainesville, Crystal River, Ocala, & Dunnellon with ample dining & entertainment choices and recreation.

We are centrally located between Gainesville, Dunnellon, and Ocala with a large variety of dining and entertainment options. Our cottage is a central launching spot to head out for a day at a Gators game, Florida State park hiking, fishing, horseback riding, tubing, kayaking or paddle boarding.
