On the main floor you'll find an adult game-room with 3 in 1 game table (mini pool, foosball & air hockey) and electronic dartboard. Coffee/drink bar located in game-room.

Fully equipped kitchen with gas cooktop and wolf convection oven.

Upstairs you'll find one king room, one queen room, one room with two single beds and fourth bedroom works hard as kid playroom with two comfortable fold out American Leather single beds. One additional single roll-away bed available.

The cabin's professionally maintained UV water filtration system combined with the community's natural untreated spring water results in some of the purest, cleanest water you can get from a tap.

Wonderful outdoor area with deck, covered hot tub and firepit.

Great location. Kitchen was small with limited counter space, and the oven was not a traditional oven (I ruined 2 meals unable to get oven to work correctly). Otherwise the house was great for a launch to skiing.

This home is in a beautiful, peaceful community. There is a lovely river within easy walking distance. Our pups enjoyed the home as well. Banjo fell in love with the dog bed provided. The owners were amazing with communication and quickly responded to any questions we had.

Ski weekend

The property is in a great location between Maple falls and Glacier Washington. The kitchen was very well stocked, and included a fantastic standalone coffee bar. The outdoor hot tub is covered, which is a nice touch in the rain. The communication with Shanna Was fantastic. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect Getaway

Location couldn’t be better. Despite not having cell service the wifi is fast and I had no interruptions with my phone. Clean house. The game room was fun. The hot tub was clean and very nice to have to enjoy. Beds were so comfortable. Plenty of towels and hot water. I want the microwave they have. It’s amazing! I have zero complaints. I will be renting again in the future.

Woodlands Delight

A MOST delightful home secluded in the woods. Very private and quiet. The house was extremely well equipped with all the supplies and extras. Coffee, teas, hot chocolate and all the spices you would need and more !! Bathrooms sell supplied as well. HOT water, great water pressure, very comfortable beds. Very spacious. Plenty of room for your things. Even welcome gifts from our hosts !!! I highly recommend Waldhaus for your stay...

Cabin weekend with friends

We had a fun weekend with friends at the Waldhaus. It’s a 45 minute drive from the cabin up to artist point. There are some cafes and shops within a 20 minute drive. The kitchen was really well equipped (more appliances than my home kitchen). The rooms were comfortable and clean. There was a weird smell on the carpet close to the dining table but that was the only thing that bothered us during our stay. I would recommend the Waldhaus if you want to spend some time around baker for hiking or skiing!

The Perfect Mountain Getaway

Our family of 5 stayed here. Quick access by car to get to our desired Mt. Baker National Forest bucket list items (i.e., glacier-covered peaks) but also fell upon beautiful trails walking distance from the front door. The house itself was not only adorable but well maintained, clean, comfortable and had many entertaining amenities such as a hot tub, game room for the kids, laundry, and a cozy fireplace. A true mountain house escape. Easy to get to and safe neighborhood! Will return to this gem.

Relaxing Getaway with Friends

This property is amazing! The setting is a peaceful woodsy retreat; but without being too remote. The cabin is well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. One of the highlights were all of the outdoor areas available to sit and relax. There is a beautiful hot tub, deck, and firepit area right at the cabin! The interior is clean, the bedrooms were spacious and a bonus for us was the living space with table games/darts, etc.! The main room has a very cozy stove that we did not use, but can imagine evenings around the stove during the winter months. The owners were available and very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. We really look forward to staying at Warnick again in the future!!

Hi There! I'm Shanna, your Waldhaus owner & host. I live nearby in Bellingham with husband, kiddos & awesome dog. Waldhaus means 'forest house' in German, a nod to my husband's childhood in Germany & the bavarian-esque cabin style. We adore Waldhaus and the Glacier Springs community.

Why they chose this property

Waldhaus is one of Glacier Springs original homes. The previous owner lived there full time! Our family uses Waldhaus as a vacation home, close to hiking and skiing. This is the first time it's been rented. Waldhaus is not lavish, but it's incredibly comfortable and fully equipped with EVERYTHING a family could need for a short or extended stay.

What makes this property unique

Some features of note -- Waldhaus is one of the few cabins in the area lucky enough to get a fiber WIFI upgrade. The cabin WIFI is better than what we have at home in Bellingham, making it a suitable place for remote work (just ask my husband). Other features include an adult game room on the main floor and kid playroom upstairs, a super slick wolf convection oven, amazing outdoor lights, and a covered hot tub ready for your enjoyment.
