About this property

Seagull - Classic Boat Rental in Beautiful Perdido Key

Experience breathtaking sunset views from the comfort of your very own boat rental on AirBnB! Meet the Seagull, a classic 38 ft Marine Trader Trawler located in Perdido Key Florida near Pensacola NAS and just a short drive away from Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Pensacola. Nestled in a serene area, away from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding tourist towns, Seagull offers the perfect spot for a relaxing and scenic vacation.

Seagull has a master bedroom with full/queen bed, 2 bunks in the v-birth and could sleep one on the galley couch. This boat would work for 1-2 couples or a small family.

Because Seagull is a boat, she has a few quirks associated with most boats - spaces can be small, storage areas are unique, and there are stairs/ladders. We do not recommend Seagull for people with mobility or balance problems. You must be comfortable with a little sway as well as being able to step on and off a moving boat. Occasionally the AC will sputter when a strainer gets full of seaweed. We've even had someone accidentally unplug the power from the pier.

Seagull has been a joy for our family of 5 to visit. She has made the great loop at least twice in her former life. Seagull was made in the 80's and has a classic feel.

We do feel this is a family friendly boat, but we do not recommend young kids that are not use to being on the water. All kids must have adequate supervision. I would not recommend for early walkers.

The boat will be at dock but does still move especially as the charter boats come and go or when the bay or marina is busy. If you are very prone to motion sickness this could be a problem but does generally improve once you get your "sea legs."

Blue Angels frequently fly overhead. The practice schedule is listed on the Navy site. They do seem to frequently fly outside of posted schedules but I can't tell you when. Some weeks it is every other day at 11. Some weeks they may not fly at all.

We have recently changed to gas stove to a microwave/convection oven unit with induction stove top to help with safety in our small space. We have grills available outside as well as blenders and coolers. We are trying to keep the kitchen stocked as much as possible for the compact space.

She has 2 baths (heads as we call them). The bathrooms are the type you will find on most boats but they are different than house bathrooms.

The entire boat is yours at dock. Marina also has some common spaces including a bathroom, laundry and dock store.

Other things to note
NO SMOKING ON THE BOAT - additional cleaning fees will need to be collected for damages and odor from smoking.

We are working to arrange charters at some time but we are in the progress of getting the correct insurance. Our eventual goal is to offer an entire vacation experience. We have to start with the boat at dock first then add options from there.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1) Can we take the boat out ourselves - No, our insurance and our risk tolerance level don't allow it - Big Boat, Small Slip
2) Charter Questions: We're in progress of updating our insurance and will start charter services soon.

We have put together a guide book with additional information. We will email that to you.

Things to note
- The boat rocks but mostly when larger boats go by or when the charters come and go. Night is usually pretty still. I have given motion sick family members motion sickness medication just in case. It can get rocky during storms as well.
- Getting on and off the boat is not easy in its current slip. A person of normal health can do it just fine but I would not recommend at this time if you have bad joints or generally very clumsy.
- We added a third AC but is can still get hot when the windows are open. If you close the curtain during the heat of the day it should stay cool.
- During heavy rains (it can rain a lot in Pensacola) the side door has a small leak. We've tried 5 ways to fix it but it's a sliding door and sometimes the rain goes sideways. If you happen to notice other leaks please let us know.
- Fixing things on a boat is a never ending process. We try really hard to keep Seagull in good shape but things do break.
- We send a instruction manual about a week prior to your visit, there is a copy on the boat and we call about 2 days before your trip to answer any more questions.

I think that's all - If you're looking for an unique experience on the water; Seagull is your girl. If you're looking for perfection then she may not be right for you (although she's perfect in our eyes)

Whether you choose to spend your time relaxing on deck, taking a dip in the water, or exploring the local attractions, Seagull offers the perfect base for your next vacation. So why wait? Book now and experience the magic of a stunning sunset from the comfort of your own boat rental on AirBnB!

Beautiful weekend
Easy to access, and friendly staff at the marina, we had the best time and it felt very welcoming. I definitely want to go back. My husband and I talked about buying the boat. AMAZING 1980’s style and all original.

Two nights on the water
Location is beautiful, and quiet. We only heard the sounds of the boat’s movement at night. The woodwork inside was beautiful. The central a/c wasn’t working during our stay. It was hot at first but the other two a/c units and fans on board were able to cut down the humidity to make it more comfortable.

Lovely location, lots of porpoise and herons. Grubby, leaky boat with a long list of issues. Very disappointed!

Host was very responsive to any questions and concerns. If you enjoy camping in an RV you would find this very similar.

We're a family of 5 that grew up along the Gulf Coast in the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach area. We still visit often.

We are also frequent travelers and make a point of taking gap years and travel breaks with our family. We have stayed in numerous vacation rentals and have taken what we love in a rental and brought those details to Seagull.

We purchased Seagull to share our love of the water with family and visitors. We hope to add more boats over the next year as well as other unique vacation experiences.

Why they chose this property

Seagull is a beautiful boat that our family loves. She has classic lines and is comfortable.
