About this property

3BRParisian Penthouse Apt, Balcony, Streetcar, French QTR!!

I am listed on other sites for several years, and very active but new to this site, so take ADVANTAGE of a great special Im advertising to gain activity and reviews!! Glamorous, gorgeous, elegant upstairs APT of the Elisabeth House, a real life Dollhouse with balcony overlooking a historic Church and the Streetcar! Full of classical charm, history and elegance sat directly on the Canal Streetcar line! The French Quarter is 15 mins by Streetcar, and about 3-5 mins driving. It's decorated like an old world Parisian APT, filled with chandeliers, art & books. It is the Upstairs portion of the house but you have full privacy and seclusion and your own entrance/ exit.

BEAUTIFUL!!

Omg, we loved this place so much. Such an authentic "New Orleans "feel. Amay has really designed this to match the ambiance and character of the city. It was our first time to New Orleans and we lucked out! This apartment was so eclectic and artsy, and interesting. There is even a vinyl record player , we used it and drank wine on the balcony and watched the Trolleys go by. The colors are gorgeous. Its like being in Architectual Digest. The photos dont do justice. The kitchen was super retro and cute, like a Parisian cafe and location was best, we walked to the Beach Pub for dinner and Amay supplies lots of coffees and teas, which we enjoyed but we also went to Cafe Du Monde and had beignets & coffee in the morning. Best stay possible and we will return!!

Absolutely gorgeous apartment

This was our third time to New Orleans. We try to stay in different areas of the city to explore and this mid city location was our favorite! You can access all of the city by Streetcar. EASY! And great for walking and early am coffee shop and beignets, and we did a cemetary tour down the street. Apartment was STUNNING. Just amazing! The colors were very pretty. My teen daughter wanted to go home and decorate exactly the same, haha. A lot of pastels and the drawing room is like you are in a different ERA. Books and Art and balcony with a view. We enjoyed the full kitchen as well. Streetcar seemed to come about ever 20 mins and was right out the door. Its well lit at night when using stairs and its an overall "RETRO" feel , even a wall phone in the kitchen. And with 4 of us we felt spread out and spacious and beds were amazing, very comfy. Do recommend Amays place and she is great host, always answered questions and left us tons of treats and coffee. Recommended!

Inaccurate listing with hostile host and harassing daughter

Start of stay pleasant until there was inquiry about the condition of the unit. Outside stairs-entrance unkept with overgrown weeds and trash. Apartment entry way with visible evidence of water damage, warped siding and brown/black discolored walls gave concerns for mold. A number of other items found broken or non-functional. No cookware available for cooking but advertised. A single saucepan appeared rusted and damaged beyond use. Unit not clean! Dog hair and trash found on living room rug after moving coffee table, behind sofa and main bedroom. Wallpaper coming off walls in multiple rooms, stains on bed pillows, termite droppings in kitchen. Not a 3-bedroom Parisian penthouse. It is a cluttered 2nd floor apartment that needs major renovations and deep clean. We left reservation early. Didn't expect a luxurious hotel experience but wanted a clean charming New Orleans apartment with European vibe. Hosts had also approved my medium size Aussie doodle prior to onset of stay. Pet fee paid. After voicing concerns, she complained of my hypoallergenic dog. Sent him to doggy daycare daily while we attended music festival as I was uneasy with host blaming him for existing damage found. Hosts became hostile when inquiring about condition of unit. Threatened to give me a low rating to prevent future VRBO reservation if I gave a bad review. Daughter contacted me afterwards harassing via personal text. By far worse VRBO experience in the 15 years I have been utilizing this platform.
