From November 1- April 15 please be aware that the Utah Department of Transportation and Town of Brighton rules about canyon travel require snow tires (3PMSF) or chains to make it safely up the canyon and to the home. Snow plowing is provided by Solitude and intermittent. Cottonwood Lodging does not have control over snow plowing. DO NOT TAKE UBERS OR LYFTS TO THIS PROPERTY. Please plan to check in by 8pm to avoid unplowed roads if it is storming and note that this home can accommodate ONLY 2 vehicles.

Welcome to First Tracks Townhome at Solitude!  This townhome, renovated Summer 2025, provides ample space for up to 14 guests, with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, and is just over 800 feet from the Apex Lift.  The open floor plan on the main level makes it easy to enjoy time together, whether you are cooking a meal in the kitchen, or playing a board game in the living room.  Need a break?  Relax on one of two balconies while taking in picturesque mountain views, or enjoy access to Club Solitude's amenities (including hot tub, heated pool, exercise and game rooms).

This home features amazing views of the slopes, hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, heated bathroom floors, free and fast WIFI, and all the comforts of home. First Tracks also has exclusive ski-in/out access - we are 1 of only 3 ski-in/out townhomes at Solitude, about 830 feet across the Village Plaza to the Apex Lift! Is there anything better than being first in line and first back home?

LOFT - Level 4:
-Moose Loft Retreat-  Large suite boasting a Queen bed, 3 sets of Twin XL Bunk Beds, a pull-out double sofa bed, fireplace, and TV with DVD player.  A round table is perfect for playing cards or games, or for taking care of work/school.  Ensuite bathroom with double vanity and full-size shower/bath.

MAIN LEVEL - Level 3:
-Great Room-  Two big comfy couches, one armchair, a large flat screen Smart TV, fireplace, and balcony.

-Kitchen-  Fully equipped with cookware, dinnerware, and ample tools to help you make a meal for the whole family.  New appliances and a dishwasher make cooking and clean-up a breeze. 

-Dining Room-  Beautiful dining table that seats up to 8 with seating for 4 more at the adjacent breakfast bar.

-Honeycomb Guest Retreat-  King bed with new furniture, a fireplace, TV with DVD player, and balcony access shared with the Great Room.  Ensuite full bathroom with a deep tub, double shower and double vanity.

DOWNSTAIRS - Level 2:
-Wildflower Guest Retreat-  Queen bed and ensuite full bathroom.  Bedroom has TV with DVD player, fireplace, and shared balcony with bedroom next door

-Quaking Aspen Primary Retreat-  King bed with ensuite bathroom featuring a separate shower and deep tub.   Bedroom has TV with DVD player and shared balcony with guest bedroom.

-Garage-  WINTER: Private 2 car garage.  Easy and convenient storage for your ski gear.  Grab the wood from the garage to start a wood-burning fire in the living room. SUMMER: Owner stores a vehicle in the 2nd garage in the summer only. There will be 1 spot in the garage available, and 2 driveway spaces are also available during warmer months.

Great location next to the slopes with a nice view. Perfect for a weekend getaway for 10 of us. The unit was very clean and well equipped, and the property manager followed up a few times to make sure we didn't need anything. Its a quick 3 min walk to the rec center building and we were able to use the hot tubs a few times.

The property worked out perfectly for our 11 people - any more would have been tight. Great property - spacious and comfortable. I would suggest updating pots and pans and. a slow coffee pot - but that's my only complaint. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice layout with good area to store gear and boots. Good amount of beds/bedrooms for our group (3 families, 11 total). Super convenient location to slopes and hot tubs/pool. Condo is showing some signs of age/wear and tear in carpets and cabinetry but only cosmetic. Bed mattresses and pillows weren’t amazing but also weren’t horrible, just seems like replacement might need to happen sooner rather than rather. Good size garage.

We had a wonderful stay at First Tracks. The condo, was clean, well stocked and so close to the Apex lift. For those in our crew who were novice skiers, the shuttle over to Moonbeam is right in front of the Apex lift and runs every 5 minutes. Could not be more convenient!! While the condo is a little tired, it's comfortable, plenty of room for a large crew to spread out and come together for dinners,movies and board games. Also, everyone at Cottonwood Management was fabulous!! We all agreed we'd stay again.

Annual friends and family ski trip

Solitude has limited large condo accommodations for multifamily and friend groups, but this condo was perfect for our group of 10. The condo was clean and had all the amenities we would need. The communal living room we found was a tad small for 10 adults but we made that work. The condo is easily access from the main roads and an easy walk to ski rental, as well as the base of the mountain. We love solitude in this condo allowed all of our families to spend another fabulous year on the mountain.

Solitude Townhouse

We were in Utah for a family wedding at Brighton ski area. This condo worked well for us as it was close to the road and only 5 minute drive to Brighton, which we made more times than I can count in 4 days! Plenty of room for 2 couples and another single son. We had a couple of small issues with the entry code and hot water but both were quickly resolved. We went to the pool once and it was easy to access, didn’t even need the key provided. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Big Cottonwood Canyon.

It was hard to locate because the snowbanks were 8 feet high, but it was the perfect location for our two families with 6 kids to walk to the apex lift with their equipment and skis. Plus, the pool / hot tub access as the club was very close. The house itself was very well stocked, and we were able to receive an instacart delivery. The rooms and decor were great, and I loved the stories behind all of the artwork pieces. The multiple flights of stairs was definitely a challenge between the altitude and being out of shape, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to ski / board the amazing Solitude!

They are local and go above and beyond any other property management company we have ever stayed with to take care of their guests. Carole and her team are amazing! The First Tracks townhome is one of our favorite properties; but book early! We are glad to say that Solitude Ski Resort seems to be doing a much better job of taking care of guests who come to ski, eat, use Club Solitude, and put their kids in ski school than they used to when guests did not rent through them. Glad to see Solitude is focusing on running a ski resort and not continuing to try to dominate the accommodations in the village. This makes for a lot more options and better customer care with companies like Cottonwood Lodging. It is becoming a better experience every year!
