This beautiful farmhouse chic condo with unobstructed views from every window will invite you to relax and enjoy the luxury of an unhurried lifestyle. º According to High Country Press, “Echota has… some of the most spectacular views in the Carolina mountains.” (2015). I have to agree this is an incredible piece of land. We would love to share our home and the beauty, serenity, and peaceful nature that is Echota, and our property, Red Tail Nest.

Loved being on the top of the mountain with a beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain! The location felt central to everywhere we wanted to explore. Mary is a gracious hostess and the condo is immaculate and comfortable. I wish we’d planned to cook because the kitchen is well stocked and the deck and grill set up would have made for the best sunset dinners. We hope to be back for a longer stay.

The Red Tail Nest is an amazing property and one of the nicest properties at which we have stayed. Check in was super easy and the host (Mary) had everything set up for us. The views of Boone and the surrounding areas are amazing! The property is even nicer in person than the pictures show! Everything was super clean and very well organized. Great location with easy access to Grandfather Mountain, Boone, and Linville Falls. Overall, we had an excellent time and hope to return again soon!

This property is beautiful with stunning views of Grandfather Mountain. Every aspect was 5 stars - communication with owners was prompt and attention to detail from cleanliness to the well stocked kitchen (coffee bar, water bottles in the fridge) and the welcome basket (so thoughtful) was far above anywhere we have stayed in Boone! The owner provided guide book was very helpful - recommended dining, hiking, shopping! Truly - Mary & Doug have provided a peaceful and beautiful retreat. Doug and I both grew up in South Carolina and still live there. His family would bring him to the Boone/Banner Elk/Blowing Rock area as a child. When we married, we would bring our family to this beautiful area. A favorite memory is traveling to Boone to get fresh-cut Christmas trees for our home in South Carolina.

Why they chose this property

We had stayed in Echota twice before buying this property, coincidentally, in the same building both times. The views of Grandfather mountain will just take your breath away. When this unit became available, we knew that we had found a home to love.

What makes this property unique

The views! Our condo has unobstructed views from every window. We are an end unit with no properties beside us. There is something special about being in the mountains. It is peaceful and restorative. We hope that you will love our property as much as we do.
