Host was responsive. Able to accommodate an early check in for a nominal fee. For the most part, the place was clean. It’s an excellent location if you have a student at UofSC and are in town visiting.
Loved that the host added a personal touch regarding the reason for my stay. The host was quick to respond. The house was very clean and had a nice esthetic. The house was well stocked for convenience. If needing to travel to Ft Jackson during normal traffic time it is about 25ish minutes.
This historic cottage was just right for our stay, with a spacious kitchen and VERY comfortable beds. We enjoyed the deck and corn hole boards. Some electric outlets in kitchen weren't working and we had trouble with a sink stopper releasing, but overall it was an enjoyable stay.

Thanks Miriam for your feedback.
We tested all the outlets in the kitchen and found them to all be working as intended. Possibly the ground fault was tripped during your stay on one of the breakers, which would impact multiple outlets.
We stayed over Christmas break and the home was perfect. We were able to visit all our old favorite spots with our kids and were minutes from everything downtown!
Great, cool, updated, older home, completely walkable to almost everywhere I needed to go on my stay in Columbia. Would totally recommend it, and stay there again.
Perfect for visiting our niece graduating from boot camp at Fort Jackson. The community is cleaning up the area, and it is looking good. Enjoyed the Riverview walk and the back porch.
Great house, clean, well maintained. Conveniently located to downtown Columbia. Host was excellent in communication. Location and neighborhood were less than expected. Never felt unsafe but the surrounding homes need major facelifts.
Brian was a super helpful host and the accommodations were top-notch. The home renovations are beautiful and we really couldn't have asked for more from this rental. We really appreciated the outdoor entertaining space. Thanks Brian!
Great house with large bedrooms. Comfortable living room, and kitchen had everything we needed. Brian is a very thoughtful and responsive host. Loved seeing the photos of the before and after renovation. Pleasantly surprised by how walkable everything was!
We really enjoyed staying here. Brian was a welcoming and responsive host. The property lived up to the description and pictures. It had all the amenities we needed and lots of character. It was convenient for getting to campus and restaurants, etc in Columbia. We liked the WECO location. We would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Thank you so much for your kind review! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay and hope to host you again soon.
Very clean, modern and comfortable. Excellent location close to restaurants and riverwalk which we used a few times. Definitely a neighborhood in transition which we expected based on other reviews but felt very safe there. Brian is a very gracious and conscientious host.
I stayed here with a few of my bridesmaids the weekend I got married in West Columbia. The location was perfect for my venue and had plenty of space. Brian checked in to make sure everything was going well. Loved our stay!!
We turned a weekend stay until a week long adventure. Brian was wonderful at accommodating our change of plans. The neighborhood is in an upward transition and the house is an older home that has been beautifully remodeled. The home is well stocked and very comfortable. We loved being able to walk to the local restaurants! Perfect stay!!!
In town for our daughter’s UofSC Dance Concerts and stayed for WBB game. Great space us - 4 adults and non-shedding dog. Grilled out and had a few of my daughter’s friends over with their parents before the game. Only 10 minutes to campus right by the Riverwalk.
The house was very nicely remodeled, decorated and welcoming. Brian was very easy to reach but in all honesty didn’t need to reach out to him in regards to the house as everything was easy. We were in town for a family wedding and the location of the house was within walking distance from the Friday night gathering. The neighborhood itself is going through a revamp, definitely an up and coming neighborhood.Thank you for letting us stay in your home!

Disappointed
House is in a run down neighborhood. Inside of home is modern and updated. Outside was dirty and needs powerwashing. Parking was difficult. AC went out upstairs and the manager replaced it with a temporary unit. Not comfortable upstairs during the day.

Wished tenant would have let us know the temporary ac solution wasn’t satisfactory and something would have been done. Ac has been fixed.
The house is located a 120 yr old neighborhood in a fantastic area that’s being revitalized at a fast pace. The neighborhood as described in description and noted in reviews. House in an amazing location near restaurants and riverwalk.

Amazing build as advertised, good for big group
Great property they did a wonderful job with the Renos
Deck was as advertised albeit far less private than expected
Really no major issues aside from all of the fire alarms and smoke detectors going off twice in the middle of night due to a power surge or something maybe a ghost idk lol but the only way to get the damn things to stop was to weirdly detach two of the alarms on the main floor - and maybe more constructive feedback most homes seems to have screened in and covered porches both for safety and usability the back deck was dope but was super exposed and felt intrusive
Again amazing build great Reno love seeing spots like these coming up in west cola and mind y’all I was staying for grad school interviews and other errands of the such so think a bigger group would def enjoy but screen in those porches haha
Ideal group would be for a football game basically dudes I would not feel totally comfortable with our kids my wife my sister or mother being there tbh I mean not trying to take shots it’s just every single other structure incl the abandoned ones had barred windows and closed porches I’m saying I’m cool with it but hey if you’re trying to impress your Yankee Doodle in-laws from summit nj ain’t gonna cut it but if you wanna send em a message ;)
But seriously amazing Reno can’t wait to see what this team cooks up next
This is a lovely remodeled home in an old mill village super close to the Riverwalk and very convenient to downtown just across the bridge. The neighborhood looks sketchy, but it's really fine, very quiet. The house is very clean and the furniture is comfortable- very nice recliners and sofa in living room. Keyless entry and no-contact check-in is appreciated, and the requested check-out activities are easy. I'd definitely stay here again.
House is beautifully renovated with great furnishings. Plenty of parking. West Columbia neighborhood not the best but quiet. Easy quick drive to UofSC.
The inside of the property was wonderful! The neighbor hood is a mixture. Overall area is fine because of its closeness to river walk and restaurants but the immediate area around the house has some concerns.
I would stay there again. However
