The bright and quiet apartment 'SANDBANK' is very centrally located in Ostdorf - just a few minutes' walk from the town center with restaurants and shops, a ferry pier, the beach and the Wadden Sea.
The apartment is on the top floor / 2nd Floor of 'Haus Niedersachsen' - directly opposite the 'Romantik & Wellness Hotel Achterdiek'.

The 50 sqm apartment offers enough space for up to 4 people. It is divided into:

- a cozy living area with a sofa corner
with pull-out sofa bed 140 x 200 for 2 people,
Flat screen TV, DVD player, radio / CD player

- a bright dining / cooking area
with extendable dining table with up to 6 seats,
optional high chair,
Kitchenette with hob, fridge, oven, integrated microwave, toaster, hot water kettle, coffee machine

- a spacious bedroom
with double bed 180 x 200,
optional pull-out armchair bed 80 x 200,
optional baby travel bed

- an en-suite bathroom (NEWLY RENOVATED 2017)
with shower / bathtub, sink and toilet

Through the generous south-east-facing dormer in the living area you can enjoy the sun and the view of the Wadden Sea with the windows open, similar to a loggia.
The large bedroom and the bathroom offer a wide view to the dune ridge towards the sea.

There is a communal garden behind the house, which can be used with pleasure.
A bicycle parking space next to the house and a private cellar room offer space for storing bicycles.

Our guests are welcome to use our bikes!
We currently have a men's bike, a women's bike and a toddler bike.
The bikes are usually in good condition, but we cannot check and maintain them regularly. They are therefore not part of the rental contract, since we cannot guarantee availability and functionality.

Towels and bed linen are provided.
We kindly ask you to bring your own beach towels.

We are happy to provide a high chair and a travel cot - please note when booking.

Sandbank die Zweite

Diesmal wussten wir ja worauf wir uns einlassen. Alles perfekt und genauso wie wir es in Erinnerung hatten. Gerne hätten wir beim nächsten Mal einen Wäscheständer für Handtücher oder nasse Klamotten! Vom Wetter war es April im Juli, halt der Sommer 2023. Ansonsten war es wieder ein schöner Urlaub.

Sandbank über den Dächern

Schön war es und auch nicht zu heiß, wie in einer Dachwohnung erwartet, weil in 3 Richtungen gelüftet werden kann. Ein Balkon in der Höhe, so über den Dächern wäre nun noch perfekt. Gerne nächstes Jahr wieder!

Es hat alles problemlos geklappt. Alles was man braucht war da. Großes Badezimmer. Großes Schlafzimmer. Eine Gäste-Toilette. Alles recht neu eingerichtet. Spiele und Bücher auch für Kinder vorhanden. Kommen gerne wieder.

Die Wohnung wirklich gut, Anreise und Ansprechpartner kontaktieren sehr schlecht

Die Wohnung hat uns wirklich gut gefallen, es war aber sehr schlecht zu finden (Wohnung von 17 Wohnungen nicht beschriftet und die im Internet hinterlegte Telefonnummer von Frau Theisen war nicht korrekt. Wir konnten kaum die Wohnung finden und wandten uns an die Tourismuszentrale welche uns zur Not eine andere Wohnung vermietet hätte.

Es handelt sich hierbei um eine gemütliche Dachgeschoss Wohnung, in der wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Die Wohnung ist sauber, schön eingerichtet und es war alles vorhanden, was wir gebraucht haben. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Schöner Urlaub/ mangelhafte Unterkunft

Leider zeigen die Bilder nur die schönen Seiten der Wohnung (vermutlich gleich nach dem renovieren). An vielen Stellen ist es abgerock, dreckig (Tischdecke usw.) und nicht wirklich einladend. Dazu kommt das auch der Ofen nur eine bessere Mikrowelle ist und daher zum kochen ungeeignet war. Des Weiteren ging der Fernseher nur eingeschränkt da die Verkabelung fehlerhaft, alt und abgenutzt ist. Den schlechten Empfang konnte man beheben wenn man das WLAN Kabel entfernte und das tv-kabel direkt anschloss (Leider dann ohne wlan). Nachdem man sich damit arrangiert hat und andere Wege gefunden wurden war der Aufenthalt angenehmer. Würden jedoch so nicht noch mal die Wohnung mieten. Bei solchen Dingen kann auch ein angegebener Hausmeister nicht mehr helfen. Da sollte an der kompletten Ausstattung gearbeitet werden.

Juist ist eine schöne Insel. In Restaurants sollte man allerdings zeitig Tische reservieren.

Pros und Cons

Super Wohnung, top renoviert und eingerichtet. Wlan war am 13.07. plötzlich verschwunden und tauchte auch nicht mehr auf. Badewanne sollte unbedingt noch 2 Haltegriffe fürs Duschen und Aussteigen haben! Super war auch, dass Fahrräder da waren! Die Lage im 3. Stock war uns vorher in der Inserierung nicht aufgefallen, vielleicht haben wir das übersehen, genauso wie das Vorhandensein der Fahrräder. Ändert aber alles nichts an der sehr guten Bewertung.
