Comfortable home is walking distance to Afton Alps Ski Area and Afton State Park. It is the perfect place to gather with friends and family, while enjoying the great outdoors. Large kitchen with new appliances and tons of cabinet space. Cozy up at either gas fireplace located in spacious family and living room areas. Even a separate den/bedroom that can be used for a quiet hangout or kids space.

Close to Afton, Stillwater, Hastings, and Hudson, WI, all riverfront downtowns with great shopping and dining. 30 minutes to the Twin Cities!

Great place for downhill skiing, hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and snow shoeing. All located in the scenic St. Croix River Valley.

Beautiful all 4 seasons of the year. Plenty of parking onsite if you trailer a boat. Public boat launch within 5 miles. The Fall is apple orchard time in Denmark Township, 4 fantastic orchards within 7 miles. Some of the best fall colors anywhere. Walk to Afton State Park or just a few miles to Saint Croix Bluffs Regional Park and the Carpenter Nature Center.

Access to a two car attached garage. House has Ring cameras outside only for security on front and side entrance.

Great ski vacation rental!

The house was wonderfully and thoughtfully setup for our stay. Had everything we needed to make our trip comfortable. Very close to the ski resort making it easy to come in and out throughout the day. Highly recommend!

Right next to Afton Alps

Great location if you plan to ski. The living areas are bigger than they look in the photos. Lots of room to gather or play games. I give our host five stars. We visited at the end of the ski season and she sent us a message that the resort would be closed on the last day of our stay. We were thankful not to find that out at the last minute.

Plenty of room for gathering, comfortable beds, lots of kitchen counter space. Great outdoor spaces that we didn't use because of weather.

Ski week

We stayed at this property last year. It is an outstanding property and has a well appointed kitchen and other nice amenities.The host is very responsive to communications, and ensures the property is exactly as depicted in the listing. There is an attached garage that guests are allowed to use. The ski area is just across the road. The town of Hudson is a shshodt drive and has some good restaurants and bars. We had such a good week last year we booked again this year and it was every bit as good. Planning for next year already.

Very nice location

Very nice location and owner was very receptive to asking to leave off comforters for my daughters allergies. The bedrooms were quite cold at night with doors closed, so bring warm pajamas for all! Overall great stay though.

Afton house

Great rental- spacious and convenient to hiking at Afton St Park. Also a 15-30 min drive to excellent golf courses. Any is a great host- easy to deal with and friendly. Large yard for your dog.

Fall Midwest trip

2nd time staying here at the Afton house.Its spacious and Amy has everything set up nicely. Short drive to nice golf courses and great hiking at Afton St Park.Stop at Selma's for ice cream - the best. Highly recommend the Afton house. Dave/Karen R

Very Relaxing

Loved this property! It is a lovely home, and a great location especially if you like hiking. Also, a quick drive to a lot of the area from Woodbury to Hastings to Stillwater to St. Paul. We visit Woodbury often to see family and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet location. I read a review regarding the air conditioning not cooling the bedrooms. We did not have this experience and were quite comfortable during the heatwave. However, I did not notice the back thermostat until one of my last days and wonder if this might not have been noticed by the previous guests (?).

Perfect Spot for Fun and Family

We enjoyed Amy's property immensely! All but one person in our family loves to ski and this property was the perfect spot for everyone. My wife could stay at the house and "hold down the fort" while kids came and went throughout the day. If someone needed a break or a snack, they could just go up a lift and across the road to enjoy the fireplace, snacks, tv, etc. No need to find a spot in the lodge to get comfy; we had a whole house. Amy made sure that everything was perfect too. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. There was even a griddle for pancakes in the morning! There were multiple areas to sit at a table to eat and play games as well as comfy rooms for lounging and watching TV. The bedroom layout was fantastic (the beds were super comfy) and made everyone really feel like they had their own space in the evenings. Every detail was thought out from furnishing/decor to guest comfort. I loved that there were even toiletries if we forgot those. It was the best of a hotel perfectly merged with all the perks of a Vrbo. We had a great time and I really appreciated all Amy did for us. She was even sick when we arrived but still made sure we were taken care of. Everything was super clean, well stocked, and Amy was always easy to get ahold of for questions. I would have to say this was one of our top Vrbo stays ever and when we come up to ski again, you can bet we will rebook!

Early spring stay

No skiing this trip as early spring thaw closed Afton Alps. Family agrees that the spacious well equipped home would be great for skiing another time. We liked the proximity to Stillwater, Hudson & Hastings. Check out Selma’s in Afton for the best Ice cream.
