3 MINUTE WALK TO BEAUTIFUL ASSOCIATION BEACH WITH INCREDIBLE MOUNTAIN VIEWS AND SUNSETS!



Please note we rent to families and couples only. No large groups, guys weekends, or parties larger than 6 adults, or 4 adults and 4 kids. All guests must be respectful of neighbors. Please refer to the attached rules.

This home provides a relaxing vacation getaway with so many outdoor and indoor amenities you may decide to never use the car for your entire stay! You can enjoy many outside activities such as SWIMMING, CANOEING/KAYAKING, FISHING, HIKING, BIKING TRAILS. Or you can relax in the comfortable living room and enjoy the AC and catch up on some movies on the HD home theater with cable, use the wireless internet. The kids will love the basement game room with a combo ping pong/air hockey/pool table. You can cook up a great meal in the fully equipped kitchen or on the gas grill.

The Silver Lake Timber House is located across the street from pristine Silver Lake, a 3 mile long river fed lake just 20 minutes south of Conway at the entrance to Mt Washington Valley. Silver Lake is one of the cleanest & deepest lakes in NH with a large sandy association beach just a 2-3 minute walk away. Other 'lakes' in Madison are actually ponds. The association beach area has beautiful mountain views toward Mt Chocorua, the Sandwich range and all the way north to Mt Washington. There are trails for hiking and mountain biking. Since East Shore Drive is a dead end road the traffic is light making for a nice place to walk, run or bike.

There are plenty of nearby restaurants, stores, golf, driving range, other local attractions within minutes of the home. The village of Conway and North Conway with more shopping, restaurants, skiing, golf and other attractions and activities is a scenic 20-30 minute drive north.

Our home is available for long term vacation rental during the winter. An additional fee for heat & utilities will be added to the price quoted on VRBO. Contact host for details.

We had an amazing stay! The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. Another amazing stay at Paul's house on Silver lake, NH. This was my family's second stay here and once again communication was outstanding, the home was absolutely perfect and the location provided access to the great number of things to do. This home is very well maintained, exceptionally clean and comfortable. It is stocked with everything needed to cook meal and or appetizers. The game room downstairs provided us several hours of fun together. I highly recommend Paul as a host and his house as an awesome place to stay.

We loved our stay here, during a week with warm beach weather!! The property has kayaks and a canoe which we used, on the pristine lake 5 mins walk away!! The house is great, well equipped, comfortable and clean, with a back deck to dine on and a porch in the front for conversation or quiet time, with a view of the lake. Communication with the owner was prompt and helpful!

We rented this house for its location near to Club Motorsports track. It's a lovely well supplied property near Silver lake with magnificent views. The house provides canoes and beach chairs which we did not get to use and is well kitted out for skiers in the winter.

Can’t say enough great things

We had an absolutely great time staying at Paul’s house. Everything looks exactly as pictured. Beautiful backyard and woods, huge entryway perfect for ski season or the lake, and homey atmosphere that is great for unwinding and having fun. We stayed for the month of February to be closer to Attitash mountain for skiing. It’s about a 40 minute drive, mainly backroads. Loved staying here!

Christmas Getaway

We couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to enjoy our Christmas holiday this year. The home was lovely and perfectly stocked for a carefree few days. Paul was quick to respond to us when we had questions and was also kind enough to leave us a tabletop tree and lights for decorating. It even snowed the first night we were there making for a true lakeside wonderland. The kids have already asked if we can return again soon. Loved it

It has become our tradition to stay here for the holidays! The best value between Lake Winni, the White Mountains and the Kancamangus Trail! A dream location for hikers, skiers and photographers. The rental has every amenity you can imagine. And the beauty .. equal to or better than Squam Lake (On Golden Pond), 30 minutes away! An absolute treasure!

The house is cozy and practical! It’s also well stocked unlike some other homes where you have to run to the store for basics. I like the first floor views of the lake. The owner was super nice. The only concern is really thin walls. I thought a kid was crawling on our floor when there was a kid in the bedroom above me.

Fall Trip

We had a great experience! We went during the fall to see the fall foliage and do some hiking. The house was centrally located about 50 minutes to an hour between the Kancamagus Highway/byway and Conway/Mount Washington area. This gave us the chance to go to both places and enjoy the views and hike both areas. Paul was easy to contact and the house was exactly as expected. Beautiful wood inside and everything was clear to follow regarding check in/out and any additional details about the house. Definitely would recommend to others.

Awesome home - Great Location - Incredible Host

My family (6 adults) stayed at Paul's Lake House in Mid January 2025 for a bit of skiing and a bit of winter hiking. His home is fantastic - the pictures are accurate but once you arrive and experience the place it is SO MUCH BETTER!! Super comfortable, great architecture and very well appointed. Communications with Paul are excellent. I had a few questions pop up in the weeks / months before our stay and each time Paul got back to us within a few hours. So easy to work with!!As for location, the home is really well situated to hit some local ski slopes, explore the woods and lake and get into North Conway for the "tourist" stuff. I strong recommend staying at this home and especially working with it's owner, Paul.

Serene lake house

The house is extremely well maintained, well stocked and incredibly tidy. It is obvious this house is well taken care of by the owners. We enjoyed using the kayaks and canoe with life vests. It was just our family of 4 but there was enough space for us to have traveled with another family with several kids. The location is convenient to North Conway but feels more serene and off the beaten path. The lake has several homes on it but it feels very quiet (even on a holiday weekend) and family friendly- very few noisy jet skis or motor boats. The lake water is very clean and not too cold.

Great location. Quiet. Good directions to get here. Very prompt responses from questions we peppered Paul with. Enough parking for 3 trucks with car trailers on our last night stay. For the previous 5 years, we had rented a cabin across Rte 16 a little closer to town, but the owner did not keep up on any maintenance of the property or its contents. It got to the point we had to bring our glasses and sharp knives. This lovely cabin had drawers and cabinets full of kitchen items needed to cook with. Beds were comfy but all showers were pretty small and dingey. Being "guys" we were not too thrilled to have to set a load going of our used sheets and towels before leaving :)Overall. much improved from previous homes and we have rented it again in September.

When we built this home in 2007 we wanted to construct something unusual that reminds us of the rugged NH wilderness yet provides all the comforts of home. We built The Silver Lake Timber House the same way a barn would have been built over 200 years ago - using large Eastern White Pine timbers that are pinned together with Oak pegs using handcrafted techniques passed down over the years. Of course modern amenities such as insulation, high efficiency windows, latest in plumbing and heating, and meticulous finishes were added.

Why they chose this property

We love our home and it's convenient location in the NH Lakes Region and also at the gateway to the White Mountains. The view from the lake looking at the White Mountains to the north and sunsets reminds us of how great this location is. We enjoy the letters and notes from our guests that enjoy their stay at our home as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

There's always something to do outside or inside year round! Silver Lake is absolutely stunning with sandy beaches and cool, clear, clean water. The view from the lake toward the White Mountains is amazing and the sunsets are magnificent!
