We had a wonderful stay in this charming cabin. Hosts were easy to communicate with and the house was stocked with plenty of amenities, supplies, and games. Would certainly visit again!
It was a great property, clean and cozy. We had enough room for everyone to have their own space. It was a short drive to check out jim thorpe and a nice walk to the frozen lake. We walked out onto that where people were playing hockey and ice fishing. It was a great weekend.
Lovely lake house with all the amenities. Saw deer from the cozy back porch. Excellent hosts. Responded very quickly to questions and easy to work with. Special touches that made our stay more enjoyable.
Our visit to Jim Thorpe for 3 days was very nice. Cute town and the house we rented was very nice. Pictures online are exactly how the house looks inside. Tastefully decorated and cozy. I forgot to bring firewood/duraflame so we didn’t have a fire inside or outside. :( The owners made sure all other essentials were provided. I would recommend they add some plastic ice cube trays as there is no ice.
For the most part the house was clean but we did find some black hairs on our sheets and under a coffee mug at the coffee bar. I get it happens but just passing feedback for cleaners.
The outside of the house looks the same as well. There is a busy road right behind the house that at times you could hear the cars/trucks go by. The house is surrounded by woods so Tons of leaves on the front and back porch given the time of year. It would have been nice to have someone sweep them off prior to arrival. The back porch didn’t appear cleaned at all. When it rained you had to be careful on the front porch because they were slippery.
We brought our 3 yr french bulldog and she did great except there is no grass outside to use the bathroom. House is surrounded by woods so no grass. We had to walk her around the neighborhood to find a patch. We appreciate the fact that we could bring her so we made the best of it.
Owner was very responsive! We enjoyed our visit.
check in and communication with the owner was amazing, very friendly and quick to respond. Overall cabin was fairly clean, had to pick up a box of alcohol cans spilled/left onto the porch and pickup scattered garbage outside from critters getting into the lockable garbage shed, but the shed doors were broken. Inside cabin: nothing a quick run of the provided vacuum couldn’t help with, swept off the porch, and dumped mop water bucket from the 1 bedroom as room had a musty smell from the wet mop, and we just left it on the covered porch all weekend and had no issue with smell after that. all utilities to cook were provided, we had to supply firewood and fire starter (although leftover matches, lighter were super helpful inside the cabin!) sharing photos of the beautiful property and the amenities of a hot tub and fire pit were lovely for the weekend away we had hoped for in historic Jim Thorpe! Didn’t get the chance to use any of the Bear Lake amenities like the pool etc but great that they offer it and I highly recommend checking out the camp store, the activities they have going on, and the public pool, as well as walking around the rental community neighbor itself. Full kitchen, dishwasher, oven, three bedrooms (upstairs loft has children’s room with bassinet provided in downstairs closet), smart TV, covered porch with multiple seating areas in the house, coffee machine, microwave, not sure what else you could wish for in a glamping style A frame. Loved it! Sharing photos
