"les Terrasses" : Maison Dans le Village, 4 Terrasses

Our house is a real family home, located in the old village of Sainte Croix with 110 m2 of accommodation. It is a traditional house, restored in the old way on 1 floor with an internal staircase. It is located below the high street, under the rue de la Fenière, at the end of the cul-de-sac known as the "Bastide". There is no direct car access, the streets are too narrow!
This is not a house specially designed for seasonal rental but our family residence. We therefore welcome you with pleasure in a lively house where we also stay very regularly. You will find the family's furniture, our crockery for example or even groceries, and some family belongings (deckchairs, hosepipe if you want to water the garden, books, games, ...) which are at your disposal and our personal decoration. We do not offer a hotel service or a "gîte", but to come and share a house that we love and have been fitting out for 60 years from one generation to the next. You will be "at home with us".
Located in an old village, it is possible that some small local fauna (ants, bees, wasps, lules, cats, blackbirds and nightingales ...) will come to visit you, it's village life..., on the other hand the house is systematically and carefully cleaned before each arrival. Simply to tell you that if you are looking for a hotel-type accommodation our beautiful house will not meet this criterion. On the other hand, if you are looking for an authentic, warm and family house with its charm and its little "flaws" of a real house, you have found it!
It is ideal for 4 to 6 people (or even up to 8 people). It overlooks just above the lake in a green setting, surrounded by four terraces with gardens, olive trees, laurel flowers, cypresses, fig trees and lavender. It offers on the 1st floor two large bright bedrooms: one with a double bed (2 people) and an en-suite bathroom and the other with a double bed (2 people) and two single beds), on the same floor 1 bathroom and a separate toilet. On the ground floor you will find a living room / living room with windows overlooking the lake, the terrace and the mountains with 1 double bed, an en-suite bathroom and a toilet, and on the same level an old-fashioned kitchen with a large wooden communal table and its large ancestral storage cupboard, its saddler, its shed dug into the rock. Kitchen, living room, living room are on one level opening onto the large terrace where you can have breakfast and meals (without any problem) with a direct view of the lake under the shade of the fig tree, oleander, parasol and canis.
The beach is a 10-minute walk away by taking the streets of the village and the rosemary-lined paths leading to the lake! The house and the terrace are surrounded by gardens making the residence very quiet even in the middle of summer, a haven of greenery. The beaches by the lake await you as well as all the attractions related to the lake: pedal boat, sailing school, surfing, .... At the entrance of the village there is a "Tourist Office" (https://www.stecroixduverdon-tourisme.fr/) where you will find all the information and walks.
We recommend that you bring your own linen (sheets, covers, pillowcases, towels,...). But we can also offer you for 20 € per bed (140x200) the linen of our house, to be paid to the concierge of the rental by giving advance notice (for the concierge to send us a message for his contact).
