We loved staying in this lovely cabin with our children and grandchildren for Thanksgiving. It was comfortable and decorated with Christmas touches throughout that enhanced our holiday stay. The outdoor spaces had something for everyone - large decking, hot tub, grill area with dining and sitting areas with TV, playground and fire pit. A great place to spend quality time with your family.
The cabin was exactly what we were looking for when we booked our stay. We had a small hiccup on arrival but the owner went above and beyond instantly. We had so much space to enjoy and despite it raining most of our time there we still made the most of it. Our only complaint if I could even call it that is the creaky wood floors. . Every step at night was heard throughout. We spent a lot of time laughing about how we could never sneak up on BigFoot!!! Great cabin with all that we needed for our family weekend celebrating the holidays with loved ones.
This cabin was everything I was looking for and more. I had my younger children 4,6,8 all the way to my oldest daughters and son in laws ages 23 and 26. They all gave me approval.., they loved it! It was close to everything we had planned, so commute time was great. The owner was easy to get a a hold of and communicate with, and never made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Definition of southern hospitality, We cant wait to come again next year!
This cabin was fabulous! Very spacious and comfortable beds. We had 4 adults and 4 kids in our group. Plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the gadgets and items we needed to cook and grill. The deck and outdoor kitchen was a great place for us to hangout and spend time together. The kids loved the playground. The cabin was Nice and quiet with large beautiful trees surrounding it. The owner was easy to contact and quick to respond. Highly recommended booking this cabin for your stay! You won't regret it!

Overpriced and had to clean property!
Overall the location of the property was great and the outdoor space included was amazing. The inside of the property however was outdated and needed repair. The oscillating fan in the children's room base was broken, and one of those old (fire hazard fans). The outlets were not covered in that room or other rooms so that caused for concern. There was an additional box fan in the master but it was covered in dust. All the vents were dusty and the floors were not very clean. After 2 days we ran out of toilet paper and there was one paper towel roll provided. We cooked all our meals in home so we did run out fast, luckily they did have someone come out and replenish those items. When we checked out though we were told we had to strip all beds of sheets (there are 6 beds with the bunks), and put all laundry and do all dishes before leaving. If you are paying a cleaning fee I am not sure why its the renters responsibility. I have stayed in Broken Bow many times and was never told by renter to do that kind of cleaning. For the price it was not what I expected compared to other newer properties and ones that don't require you to clean on top of cleaning fee. Also, the directions for the keypad were not clear upon arrival so we had to call property manager to help talk us through getting in.
Overall! Price wasn't worth the quality of home provided, unless you are only paying for the outdoor space. I have stayed at nicer properties for less in Broken Bow without required cleaning by the guests.
It was a beautiful, clean, and well organized cabin! It had everything we needed!
The hot tub wasn’t the cleanest and hauling the trash out wasn’t the most convenient! Also, the listing looks as if the cabin is more private than it actually is…we had a wonderful stay! It’s also conveniently located near most everything!

Currently call East Dallas home, but love to get away to our ranch out by Lake Tawakoni, 40 miles east of Dallas. I'm originally from Vancouver, Canada, so you will either find me out in the Pacific Northwest or exploring small towns in Texas. I'm a stay-at-home mom to two girls and love cooking and travelling with my family.
Why they chose this property
Southern Hills is one the more charming neighborhoods in Broken Bow. Nestled up close to the State Park, it has larger lots then neighborhoring areas, allowing for more privacy and space. There is also lots of elevation change, which adds to beautiful views.
What makes this property unique
Tesla destination charger, private playground and large covered outdoor kitchen area to hang out, rain or shine. The proximity to the State Park and Hochatown are also what we love about Southern Hills.
