Mossy Oaks Cottage is nestled on over 5 grassy private acres and overlooks pasture land and giant oak trees with a greenbelt all around. Five minutes from Fishhawk area, Lithia Springs Park, walking trails and canoe rentals at Alafia River State Park, and 20 minutes from antiquing in Plant City/Lakeland area. We are conveniently situated half way between Tampa beaches and Disney. You can relax on the Adirondack chairs around the fire pit and have s’mores, or rock on your own large covered porch complete with picnic table, porch swing and rocking chairs.

Owners on property to answer any questions during your stay. We have two friendly dogs, fenced pastures with KuneKune pigs, four friendly cows who would love some treats we will provide you to give them, and chickens. Don’t worry you won’t have any farm chores! Just enjoy the views and relax.

Please do not hesitate to ask questions. We are more than happy to take you on a tour of the farm if you like. If you just want quiet serenity in nature, it’s here.

Great place to stay!

Loved my time here. The house is very comfortable and well stocked. Very pretty yard and loved the fire pit. The owners are great people and I definitely recommend a stay at this location!

Lathia farm

Perfect for relaxing, fun place for the grandkids to visit and feed the farm animals, amazingly kind owners Rain and Keith. A perfect getaway place.

I would and plan on staying there a lot!! The place was amazing!! if you just want to get away somewhere and have a country scenery, fire pit and just relax this would be the place to go!! so quiet and peaceful!! I enjoyed everything about the place!!!

Perfect Location

This stay worked out perfectly as it was only a 5 minute drive from the Camp and Conference Center where I needed to be for the weekend. It was fun to meet the pigs and the cows and give them some treats in the evening.

Tiny home on Lithia farm

This was an awesome place to stay!!! We enjoyed our stay so much that we will coming back here again!!! The host Rain was so welcoming. Everything we needed was there. Close to everything we wanted to do!! And our pups were welcomed!! Recommend this place!! Definitely five star!!!

Perfect landing pad!

Was in town attending my brother’s wedding, we like to stay off the beaten path away from the hustle and bustle. This little place was just what we needed/wanted between the wedding festivities. Amazing hosts! Relaxing place with adorable cows and a pig, who loves belly scratches!

Peaceful and serene

What an incredible place! I can’t say enough good about the home and its surroundings. It was an oasis of much needed serenity during a difficult time. Sadly, I had to come to town to deal with the passing of my father and what a setting to escape from the chaos associated with the loss of a loved one. Thanks to Rain for providing such an amazing place to relax. I hope to visit in the future under more enjoyable circumstances to be able to enjoy all this place has to offer.

Such a quaint and cozy space with a gracious host! The area was so quiet and peaceful, and the farm animals were lively. It's a great getaway from the city life. Rain is very thoughtful and welcoming. She ensured all the little things were in place so we didn't have to worry or run out to the store. And her dogs were also loving and playful. Thank you so much! We can't wait to visit again!

Back home on the Farm

Rain, was truly a refreshing host. I have never been more welcomed and felt more at home. I wish I could finish out my work in Brandon by staying at they’re place but its all booked up! It was so peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend!

Family visit

The hosts could not have been more accommodating. On your “one to five stars” rating system, we’d give them TEN stars. The accommodations and setting were wonderful, peaceful and relaxing. Our son brought his family and in-laws out for the day to visit. Our “city slicker” grandkids range from 6 to 16. All had a great time with the animals and none got bored. We just hope they have open dates the next time we come to visit as they’ll be our first choice.
