Gorgeous lake view and easy to access the kayaks and paddle board. Bonus is the game room and hot tub. Spacious house. One bedroom is not air-conditioned. Overall we really enjoyed being there.
Stow was a fantastic host. We had questions and they were answered quickly. He had just finished a new deck on the property which was a pleasant surprise . Grounds were well maintained as was the house. This was perfect for our group of 7 and could have fit a few more people. We particularly like the location as Lake Harmony’s was just a few minutes away and Jim Thorpe was 1/2 hour. I would highly recommend this property and host.
The view of the lake was beautiful! Kitchen was well stocked with a variety of dishes and pots and pans. Rooms and bedding was clean. Although towels were supplied, it would be helpful to remind guest to bring their own washclothes. Our host Stow was very responsive and provided us with answers to all our questions. Game room was a plus kept my grandson busy with challenging different people to ping pong and air hockey.

The lake view was beautiful but the only downside was the table was super sticky, there was so much dust and spiderwebs through the house
This property was awesome. The layout, location and amenities were all perfect for our stay. The house was quiet and secluded, and offered plenty of room for our party.
We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and well maintained. There was plenty of room to spread out and relax. The game room provided a lot of fun for our family.
Our family (ages 8-68) had a nice weekend. The weather was a very springish mix but we had things to do inside (fun playroom!) and outside (peaceful lake right outside the door). The nearby Austin T Blakesee Area had a nice trail going along the river (but we didn't see the whole park) with a stop at Sweet Cravings on the way home, yum.Comfortable lodging that is kid-friendly.
My family absolutely loved staying here, we had 11 people ranging for 5 to 77 there was plenty of rooms and bathrooms. The access to the lake by the property was all of our favorites, absolutely beautiful! We did have a few issues with the house that the owner had fixed very quickly! The kayak and the paddle board were so much fun, our dog Shirley absolutely loved being on the paddle board! Awesome place great location and everyone around was extremely friendly!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was as pictured. The neighborhood was beautiful and peaceful. Our grandson had so much fun at the beach and the playground. The owner, Stow, quickly answered any questions we had and offered some great ideas for places to eat. We would definitely consider staying here again.
We loved our stay at the property. One bummer was that the heater didn't work in the garage so we weren't able to use the fun ping pong table and games for the kids as it was freezing. Great house for a big family otherwise.
We rented this home for Presidents Day weekend. It was one of the best homes in the Poconos. The home was spacious, clean and had plenty to do during our 4 snow squalls. The owner was very nice and communicated to any questions promptly. We had no problems and had an awesome time! Definitely will rent again. Thanks Stow!

house was old and run down lighting poor bathroom and kitchen fixtures ready to fall out musty smell dirty carpet just not well taken care of
This was our first time to brier crest woods and I must say the community was clean and felt very safe with security always on patrol. We enjoyed all the activities the house had to offer. The dart board was our favorite but everything else was a close second. We were bummed that all three of the propane tanks were empty and left by the previous guest, so it was an inconvenience to get one filled. We had a great weekend and would be interested in renting this house again in the future.
Our group of 14 had a wonderful stay here for a long weekend. The view was incredible. We spent every night by the fire pit, played games and watched football in the living room, and were able to cook our meals using the grill and enjoy them together in the kitchen and dining area. The additional living area downstairs was a great space for when our group wanted to spread out and do different activities. The ping pong table, garage game area, and hot tub were also a fun plus! Check in was easy and host communication was awesome. Very responsive to any questions. We noticed a stair becoming a bit loose our second day and the host responded very quickly, sending someone out to fix it within the hour. It was very apparent that they wanted to ensure we had an enjoyable stay… and we sure did! Thanks for the great weekend.

The water was very brown and full of sediment for the first day/night. The downstairs toilet did not work when we got there. It was running, wouldn't flush and then started leaking on the floor (from the bottom, not overflow). The host was responsive to the issue, and did send a contractor the next morning (however there was no warning of arrival or discussion of timing prior to) who fixed it temporarily, but it was back to not flushing by the late afternoon. We tried to plunge it, but this caused water to build up in the shower. Apologies for inconveniences go a long way with me, and I do not believe the host ever apologized for either issue. The hot tub (which is majorly advertised in the title of the rental) was dirty and the guests did not feel comfortable using it. At this point I did not share this disappointment with the host because it felt like there was nothing to be done.
The house, amenities, host, and area were all fantastic. I will point out the few negatives, minor to be sure. The kitchen faucet is not secured - a simple fix apparently long overdue. We went to play ping pong and found only one usable paddle. I drove an hour round trip to the East Stoudsberg Walmart to purchase a set of 4 paddles and balls, and left them there for next guests. The basketball game frame is broken and has been duct-taped numerous times, but it does function well. The game room itself was good although a bit dirty. The front screen door catches very annoyingly on the frame. The grill could use a good take apart and thorough cleaning, or better, replacement. Now, those things aside, the house is spacious, all beds were comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with everything needed for cooking just about anything, with plenty of dishes, glasswear and utensils. The lake is small but surprisingly pleasant, with abundant fish. The beach is pristine and a very short walk, as is the kayak and paddleboard storage. The community is very well kept and very nice. The Blakeslee area is great, with lots of hiking, and all outdoor activities imaginable. Stow, the host, was very friendly, helpful and responsive. A little attention to the minor maintainence would raise the rating to nearly a 10.0!All in all, my family group - 8 of us from 12 to 72, had a great time and would definitely return next year!
