About this property

Skypark at Santa's Village, Arrowhead /whole-house generator, and Cal King Bed.

Sunset at Summit: New central air and heating, and whole house generator, very close to Hwy 330 and Hwy 18. We are centrally located between Snow Valley Ski Resort and Lake Arrowhead, and west of Big Bear Lake. Surrounded by stands of ponderosa pine, black oak, and noble fir trees. This lovely mountain cabin offers some of the most fantastic sunsets and city lights views to be found on this strip of the “Rim of the World Scenic Byways” in the San Bernardino Mountains. Positioned 6,100 feet above sea level takes you into the clean and fresh mountain air above the considerable smog and pollution. Upon your arrival, you will find ample parking with direct access to paved roads. You’ll want tire chains during the snowy winters. Enter into our cozy yet spacious cabin that offers all the comforts of home. If you are looking to get away from all the hustle and bustle of city life and the congestion of our neighboring mountain villages then Sunset at Summit is waiting for you. Our cabin offers a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, powder room, and living quarters on the entry-level. Exit the slider to a balcony that stretches the entire width of the home to barbeque, dine, relax or just unwind. This is the perfect place to enjoy the views of the mountains, sunsets, and stars. After a full day of activities or exploring the surrounding natural scenery, you will find three spacious bedrooms on the lower level. The master bedroom includes a king-size bed with a private bathroom. The guest room contains a queen-size bed and all the necessary equipment to make your stay comfortable, and the third bedroom, which we have designated the “Bunk Room”, includes two bunk beds, one of which offers a full bed on the bottom bunk. You will also find an additional bathroom on this level. Each bedroom offers access to a balcony area available to enjoy the beautiful mountain sunset and city lights. You couldn't be in a better location. The rustic town of Running Springs is right down the street, where you can find local eateries, shops, and Running Springs Fine Foods. Every Saturday between the months of May through September is the local Farmer’s Market and Artisan Faire. Santa’s Village is situated only four miles away and offers biking, climbing, and zip lining, plus Christmas entertainment in a forested park in the mountains. Seven miles west on Hwy 18 will put you in the heart of Lake Arrowhead, which offers a full-size grocery store, restaurants galore, and many unique boutiques and shops. Don’t forget to visit the Lake Arrowhead Queen and take a boat tour of the picturesque lake. For anyone familiar with the ski slopes, Snow Valley is only 7 miles to the east on Hwy 18. If you venture a little further, the community of Big Bear Lake can be found. Enjoy a leisure stroll through the Village, which offers over 24 restaurants and 25 shops and boutiques. Come and experience the Gateway to the San Bernardino Mountains. Remember to book early, mountain living is only a click away.

A true snowy paradise surprise!
In booking the home late February we were worried to not get any snow. Well it turns out we booked the two days that the area had record snow unlike anything they had seen since the 1980's!! The house did not disappoint. The few times we lost power the generator kicked right on so we barely noticed. We were snowed in so we could not leave as planned but the house manager was very helpful and kind to ensure we were safe and had food for the extra night. The kids had a great time playing in the incredible snow storm! Running Springs is a cute small town that is local to many things. We had a blast and our kids had their first true snow experience. Highly recommend the home and our overall experience.

WONDERFUL FAMILY VACA SPOT
The scenery is beautiful! fab view from balcony. The neighborhood is quiet which makes it easy to relax. Friendly neighbors. Close to the village.. The house itself is spacious and wonderfuy decorated with little foresty decorations everywhere. Bedrooms and the beds are very comfortable. Romantic deck with grill caps it all. I hope we can return soon.
