Located directly on the Gulf within a true nature preserve, the property is framed by swaying palms, warm Gulf breezes, and tranquil coastal scenery—an ideal setting to relax, reconnect, and unwind.

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or a fun coastal vacation, Island Place provides an exceptional blend of comfort, charm, and location. The complex is thoughtfully designed to reflect the historic character of Cedar Key while offering modern conveniences. Guests are perfectly situated next to the city marina and just steps from local restaurants, shops, art galleries, and the grocery store—no car required.

Pet Friendly:
Pets are welcome with a $50 fee per pet, per visit (maximum one pet). Pets must be approved, are not permitted on beds or furniture, may not be left unattended if barking, and must be cleaned up after outdoors. Unauthorized pets will result in a $300 charge.

Additional Information:
• Grills are park-style and located at the end of the complex. Please bring your own utensils, charcoal, grill brush, and lighter fluid.
• No boat parking is available onsite. Public boat parking is located one block east or two blocks north, behind the museum.

Need to know…..

VRBO renters depend on past reviews and “important-Need to know” communication with the property manager(s). Let’s start with the negatives. The main bridge is being reconstructed about 150 yards from the outdoor patio that faces the water view. Construction (they were cutting cement on our stay) begins at 7am in the morning to 5pm. 5 days a week.The noise is continuous and annoying. Property management should notified their guests beforehand. Its a need to know. Read your contract. There is a clause regarding construction. I would grade the TV’s and service in the unit a “D”. Outdated hardware and the Dish satellite reloads about every 10-15 minutes. We didn’t go to CK to watch TV but I do like my morning news without interruptions. WIFI is good however…. The positives. Location, view, cleanliness,pool,Manager on site. Sunsets, Sunrises. Great people. Positives do outweigh the negatives. Cedar Key is a very special place. We will return, but bridge rebuilding will take another year I suspect so a different location for our return is necessary.

Low key spring break

We stayed a week for my elementary school age daughter's spring break. It was very relaxing. We enjoyed the low key town and the property's pool. The unit was clean and adequately furnished. It could have used a few more kitchen items like a broom, dish towels and a floor mat, but we made do. We would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay.

The unit was very cute . There were a few things it was lacking. It needs new kitchen utensils especially a can opener. The oven burners do not fit properly and so everything cooks uneven. The couch was very uncomfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and the above mentioned were minor nuisances. The staff were so nice. The pool was beautiful .

Condo needs updating

We loved the location facing the Gulf and ease of walking all over Cedar Key. The patio was great; we enjoyed sitting out there. The condo needs updating with more comfortable beds, linens, kitchen and bathroom accessories and overall decor. TV in master bedroom received only 1 channel. The automatic lock on front door was difficult to engage and we had to hold up the door handke to get the lock to work properly. The living room could use more seating. The screen door leading out to patio needed a new screen and was leaning against the wall of patio. I want to return to Cedar Key to vacation but will look for a different unit next time.
