Excellent communication. There was a lot more ameneties than I expected. There was even a turntable with several vinyls! Gorgeous views, as well as being close to a couple State parks. Overall it was an amazing time there.

Wonderful property. Clean and quiet and secluded. Private access to the river with swimming hole was perfect. We went in May after a lot of rain so water levels were awesome and water temperature amazing. Bring a tube to sit in. Nice to have our dogs with us, but keep in mind that the property is not completely fenced in and it is right off of a main road. We had a little issue with a light not able to turn off so it was a little disturbing at night when trying to rest and watch a movie, the host was so communicative and helpful trying to trouble shoot it. The guest bed was not super comfy (sank in the middle) but the master bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was awesome. Took a while to heat up (maybe 8 hours) so turn it on when you arrive. Kitchen fully stocked with coffee, ice in the ice maker in freezer, Brita, charcoal, lighter fluid, firewood, all cooking and grilling utensils. The lost maples country store is right down the road, but that’s it. It is really out there- 30 min drive to closest “town” so I recommend bringing food to cook. No good restaurants nearby. We loved the peace. Laundry machines available for use. Our favorite parts were the amount of birds! Hummingbirds, cardinals, jays, titmouse etc so many feeders it felt like a fairytale house. Also, a telescope for use, a record player on speakers in the kitchen was so fun while cooking! Netflix for a movie at night, books for adults and blocks for kids. We would love to return.

Great relaxing stay

This house was the perfect location multiple parks to visit within an hour drive. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, watching all the birds and the view. The home was very spacious with the bonus room with the futon and was a nice touch. Would highly recommend this property very peaceful.

Hill Country Getaway

Even though we’re from Texas and thought we knew the hill country area, we were amazed at the views all around us. The area is serene and beautiful. We felt like we got away from all the hustle and bustle while we were here. The house is comfy and feels like you’re all alone out in the hills, which is just what we wanted. Brent's property is everthing you could want in a family get away. This was our second time returning to the hilltop hideaway and love how cozy and secluded it feels. The views are beautiful and you can't beat the private river access. We are expecting our first baby and did a private gender reveal with our family while at the property. It was picture perfect. Peaceful Getaway

The house was charming, spacious & comfortable inside and the grounds outside were secluded with a great view of the hill country. We enjoyed watching the different species of birds that visited the birdfeeders, and the night sky was great for star gazing. Our family enjoyed Lost Maples and the close proximity of the house to this beautiful state park. We had fun and really decompressed during this peaceful getaway!

We have stayed here many times and have always loved the home the views and the property. In the spring, the birds are always plentiful and fun to watch. Brent is a great host, providing everything from bird seed to charcoal for the grill. A fine place to unwind and recharge.

Secluded Hideaway

If you like a quiet, peaceful and relaxing place look no further. This hilltop hideaway is appropriately named. The location the views and the accommodation were spot on. We would love to stay here again. It felt like a home away from home. From the time we got there till the time sadly had to leave it was an experience we will certainly remember.

A slice of paradise…

This beautiful home and property provided exactly what we needed. A place to de-stress, relax, breathe and watch nature surrounding you. There was an army of hummingbirds and cardinals plus a few lazy squirrels. We enjoyed the Sabinal river on the property and being able to watch the kids having fun floating and make marshmallows on the fire pit. All in all exactly what we needed.. We will be back for sure.

Beautiful and secluded

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. The house was clean and comfortable. Much bigger than it looked online. Excellent bird watching (lots of feeders on the front porch). Easy and prompt communication with the owner. All in all a great stay!

Great hill country getaway!

We wanted a long weekend away from the city and this was the perfect spot! Quiet home up on a hill with plenty of space. We spent tons of the on the river that runs through the property and loved the outside space for our kids to play and enjoy meals with a view. Lost Maples state nature preserve was just a few miles away and great for hiking. We would definitely come back!
