We invite you, your family, and friends to relax and enjoy our 2,240 Square Foot, 3 Bedroom, 3 Full Bath home situated on the beautiful South Shore of Michigan’s Largest Inland Lake. South Shore Escape is a completely updated home. Spectacular water views welcome you upon arrival.
South Shore Escape will become your home away from home as you relax and unwind. Whether you're spending time in the spacious living area, eating at the rustic dining table, or gathering in the large open kitchen, the unobstructed views of Houghton Lake’s main body go on and on. With 58 feet of private water frontage and a large lawn, you and your family will have all the room you need to enjoy everything Houghton Lake has to offer. We are confident you will also enjoy the spacious Township Park next to our home. Entry and exit from the lake is provided from our dock. We have a 50 foot section of dock on our east property line. You are welcome to keep your boat tied to our dock or anchored in front of the house throughout your stay. A large DNR boat launch less than 1 1/2 miles from South Shore Escape.
The Main Living area is furnished with comfortable furniture, Smart TV, and an Onkyo surround sound stereo system. A set of sliding doors and large windows fill the room with natural light and beckon you onto the elevated lakefront deck with a propane grill and additional seating.
We are certain you will find our kitchen to be stocked with all the supplies needed to prepare full meals. There are even multiple small appliances (Keurig and Standard Coffee Makers, Crock Pot, Griddle, Blender, Toaster, etc.) available. Ample counter space provides plenty of room for meal prep while counter-top seating creates another space in this spacious home for everyone to gather.
The Primary Bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet, Flat-Screen Television, and direct access to the lakefront deck via its own sliding glass door.
The main floor of our home contains one additional bedroom, a full-size bath, and a utility room with full sized washer and dryer.
The walk-out lower level of the home offers an additional seating area with a Smart TV, gas fireplace, spacious bedroom, the home’s 3rd full bath, and 2 additional custom-built fold down beds.
Many groups have mentioned the quality of our furnishings. We’re confident you’ll appreciate the extra lengths we’ve taken to make our home welcoming and comfortable.
We've enjoyed having families visit our other Houghton Lake home and ask that you reach out to us if you have questions. We know the location of South Shore Escape cannot be beat and are confident you will love our home as much as we do.

Finally, we want to take a moment to summarize our rules so this is a fantastic experience for everyone: No Pets, No Smoking, and No Parties/Conduct that may be deemed offensive. We also require the primary renter to be over the age of 35.
Additionally, our garage and one closet will be locked as they contain our personal items.
